annd a small tip: I’ve found the cover super easy to remove and caqsh- I mean -wash. It looks jsut as snazzy post-wash too. Quite the game-changer for especially those of us dealing with muck-lovers (*cough* Bucky *cough*). So it’s really worth being patient while your furry companions warm up to it. And hey, if it still doesn’t work, there’s always the good old-fashioned method: manual relocation aka picking them up and placing them on the bed haha! 🐶💤

The bed is durable even with my Lab’s monster digging rituals before bedtime annd so far I’m impressed how it stands up to his repeat ‘excavations’, haha! Plus, it doesn’t have that off-putting chemical smell some new dog beds come with which was a relief. My golden especially loves it cause of its foam, makes his arthiritis way more manageable.

In terms of cost effectiveness compared to other high-end dog beds -> Well worth it. So if you’re on the fence about buying one, jsut go for it imho.

I’d love to hear form others – Has anyone tried placing heating mats under theirs for added warmth during winter months? How did your dogs react? Did they enjoy the extra coziness or was it too much?

But to answer your question, no, I haven’t noticed any issue at all. Could possibly be you got a less-than-perfect one? It’s not always an exact science with these things, ya know?

Just for full disclosure though – I do tend to wash the cover pretty regularly. Might be making a difference to longevity? Also anyone out there have similar experiences or maintenance tips? How often are you guys washing yours?

in reply to: Yeti Dog Bed and Its Impact on Fido’s Feeding Time #3718

I was skeptical about the Yeti bed at first because of the price but let me tell ya, it’s been worth every penny so far! Max adores it and hasn’t managed to tear it apart…yet. It’s super durable and seems to keep him cool enough(despite no built-in cooling mat). For those considering alternatives – especially if you’ve got a destroyer like my Max – I’d definitely recommend giving the Yeti bed a go. Has anyone else with large dogs tried it? What has been your experience?

Did any of you notice if the bed became more stable after use? Mine seemed to balance out more after Bella used it for a few weeks and evened out the wear and tear. Yea? No?

And speaking of tightning screws, a dab of threadlocker (blue kind) before screwing them in did wonders for me. They’ve stayed put unlike before. Anybody else try this trick?

in reply to: “Why I swear by the Petco dog bed for my pooch” #5592

For folks with chewers like Max, a great trick we used was mixing a little bit of her kibble in with a Kong toy – keeps Ginger occupied so she isn’t tempted by the bed. Just gotta be prepared for a bit of a mess, haha. 🐾🤞🏼

The filling is chunky and heavy-duty and his incessant digging didn’t even make a dent. Oh, plus the fact they’re also pretty easy to clean is an unexpected bonus.

Anyone tried thier other products? The product line up looks pretty interesting, might be a good investment option for other dog accessories too.

in reply to: Barney Dog Bed Transforms Feeding Time! #3936

As for the bed itself, Duke seems to be loving it so far. He’s got joint issues and I notice he’s limping less ever since we made the switch. So thumbs up from both of us 👍 Now I’m curious…anyone tried any other accessory with this bed? Maybe some sort of toy storage or something?

in reply to: “Petco Dog Bed: Your Pooch’s Dream or Dud?” #5530

Just a quick heads-up tho, if your pooch is a bit destructive like my younger Border Collie is (she loves disemboweling plushies 🙄), might be worth considering some more durable options as well. Went through two squishmallows in less than a month!

On the brighter side, anyone tried their hands on or rather, paws on 😀 the chew-proof K9 ballistics beds? I heard they’re pretty sturdy but would love real experiences from you guys. How do they hold up long-term?

And yea I absolutely agree with fluffing it up after washes , hehe makes it looks almost new!

However, I have noticed that after several washes, the filling inside started to get lumpier?
Has anyone else experienced this or did I just get a dud? I could have possibly washed it wrong even tho I followed the instructions clearly. Any suggestions on how to keep it plush and comfy? Thanks in advance!
