  • Got ours from Petco during a sale event but heard they’re even available on Amazon now. It’s genuinely one of those purchases where you wonder how you managed without one before (especially with lesser amounts of dog hair on my bed).

Quick heads-up though: If you have a chewer at home could become an expensive habit – thankfully Max isn’t one or I’d probably be bankrupt now (haha). Anyone else’s pooch totally obsessed with their Squishmallow bed?

One thing though – I’ve noticed that Sam likes it more without the cover on? Kinda weird, I know. Maybe because it feels cooler? Anyone else notice this with their pup’s Tuft and Needle?

Btw – since we’re on the topic of dog’s blankets (btw they do get attached don’t they?), does anyone have any recommendations for machine washable blankets that can survive our furry friends love… and teeth? Lol!

Just a cautionary comment though – if you have a chew-happy pup, they might get through the corner seams. Mine tried gnawin’ on it a couple of times before he got used to it.

Interesting pointer about the Orvis beds! Are they good for heavier breeds too? My neighbor has a hefty Great Dane that could do with a comfy sleep spot.

in reply to: My Journey to Comfort: The Costco Dog Bed Experience #4245

Gotta give a shoutout to the Costco Dog Bed here, my Rusty couldn’t be happier. He took to it immediately; I mean, this bed is one fluffy cloud of comfort! Even though George’s inital reaction was different, every dog has their own favourites right? I used to have the Bedsure Orthopedic one as well but seems like Rusty prefers the plush snugness that Costco bed offers over an orthopedic one.

Fun tip: If you find your pooch not using the new bed right off the bat, try putting some of their fav treats or a cozy blanket on it – worked for a few of ma friend’s stubborn ones hah! Now Rusty just sinks into that bed and snoors away – quite an endorsement if you ask me 😉 Anyone else tried this with their fur babies? How’d they like it?

The cover itself is a godsend. It’s super durable and washes up to look brander new, even after multiple puppy accidents (trust me on that one!). It’s pretty crazy how well it resists fur too — major plus for anyone with heavy shedders.

As for the cost argument brought up previously – yes, it can seem steep, but considering the quality and how much use we’ve gotten out of it…I really think you get what you pay for. Anyone else using the Casper noticing your dogs sleeping longer/better? Or hey, maybe it’s just Max falling in love with his new bed a little too much!

Quick tip: Do measure your pooch before ordering, their sizing guide is spot-on. Anyone else found this or was it just Buster being the perfect Orvis model? 🐶

Now? No problem at all. The easy-clean material of the bed has worked wonders for these slobbery post-dinner pup-naps. But let’s not sidestep the spending here—I nearly choked on my coffee when I saw the price tag. 😄 Definite agreement with K—it would hurt less to check out those cheaper alternatives if budget’s a bit tight. Anyone tried any other brands that are easier on the wallet but still decent with cleanup?

I started finding that my Fido was more relaxed while eating, almost seemed like he enjoyed his meal times even more with the cozy Yeti cozied up next to his bowls. Curious though, has anyone found that the bed absorbs odors overtime? That’s my only worry so far.

But yeah, for younger dogs or pups without any specific health concerns-adjustments, can totally agree that standard beds might be the better option thouhg. Gotta weigh in all factors like dog’s age, health condition and of course your budget before making a decision.

On a side note – anybody have recommendations for the best dog-friendly washable cover fir these kind of beds? Daisy isn’t exactly neat when it comes to bed hygiene (if you catch my drift) and I am in dire need of something easier to clean up. 😅

About downsizing for tiny furries, though – that’s a brilliant idea! Wouldn’t it be sometihng if Yeti took notice and rolled out something comfy-cosy just for our petite buddies? They sure as heck deserve it! 🐾 Anyone else reckon we should get a petition going they’d hear us out?? 🤔

I’ve noticed something a bit odd recently though. We live in a pretty hot area and even with the AC cranked all the way, Bella seems to still get uncomfortable on her bed during the day time. The idea of adding a cooling mat piqued my interest – Any brands you guys would suggest? Or does anyone have any alternative solution too keep things chill for our fur kids?

Edit – apologies about the typos, typing with one hand while coordinating a doggo play-date isn’t easy! 😅
