MemberOne word of advice though – do get a color that matches your doggo’s fur, the cover attracts hair like crazy! Anyone else noticed that?

MemberOn washing, totally with you – gentle soap annd warm water do just fine, machine washing might seem like saving time but could really affect the product lifespan.
Anyone else found their dogs liking one color more than another? Mine seem to prefer the green one over the blue for some reason. Dogs, right? Ahah. Anyone else noticed their pups are picky with their bed colors too?

Memberguys, just dropping by to say I couldn’t agree more about the Land’s End dog bed. I got one for my rescue pup, Milo, about a year ago and he absolutely loves it – you can hardly separate him from his snug haven! It’s made with super sturdy canvas material that has put up with his scratching and digging habit like a champ. Also, lets not ignore the fact that they are MACHINE WASHABLE (a godsent feature in my opinion) which make clean up easy-peasy.
Now don’t get me wrong folks, I’ve seen some of you swearing by orthopedic memory foam beds for older dogs with achy joints. I totally second that too! But Milo was a pretty young and healthy boy when we adopted him, so we didn’t felt the need for extra cushioning just yet. However, we might consider switching once he gets up in years – any brand recommendations?
To sum it up, if your looking a durable, comfy and easy-to-clean bed (not necessarily needed for joint issues), Land’s End can be a good way to go!

MemberI did notice tho, that after a while the bed seems to sag in the middle. Anyone else face this issue? Is there any way to fluff up the middle again or should I be eyeing a replacement?
Also to those saying it’s expensive – 100% agree but soo worth it if you’ve got an older doggo who appreciates extra comfort. I notice Rex limping less since we switched!

MemberAlthough sometimes, when the fur situation gets realy crazy, I switch to using a heavy-duty blanket instead of the bed. It’s not as comfy as the FurHaven (nothing is!), but it’s much easier to clean and my golden retriever doesn’t seem to mind! Just over for suggestion, ahah.
Anyone else got some fur-busting secrets up their sleeves?

MemberI will say though, while Pendleton beds are stylish annd durable, they might not be the most comfortable for dogs with arthritis or joint issues. That Furhaven Orthopedic Foam mattress you mentioned could be a better option in those cases. Anyone tried both and noticed if their fur babies had a preference?

MemberResponding to the talk about Coolaroo Elevated Pet Bed, it does sound beneficial because of its cooling effect but would it be cosy enough during winter? I’m always paranoid of my boy getting chilly at nights. Also, how’s the durability compared to Pelsbarn? My pup is no Godzilla but he does get into his silly destructive mode occasionally 😄. Any long-term users who can shed some light?

MemberDid yours also have that weird smell when it arrived tho? Mine had a kinda funky odor for a few days but airing it out helped. If anyone else’s new bed has that smell, try putting it outside in fresh air btw – totally worked for me.
Do you think size makes any difference in how long they last? We went with a large (my pooch is a big ol’ golden retriever) jsut wondering if the smaller ones hold up as well.

MemberI might suggest trying different recipes and mix things up a bit. Dogs can get bored with their food like we do. As for Daisy, did you notice any changes in her sleep patterns when you switched her diet? Just curious because Max definitely seems to be sleeping bettter these days. Keep up the great work with your pets everyone!
