MemberBut, just outta curiosity… anyone else notice the bed takes a while to dry after washing? Our’s seems to hang onto water a bit longer than our old beds. Maybe it’s just me or does it happen with you guys as well? On a side nite, make sure you got space in your machine before tossing this beast in there. It ain’t a small task.

MemberSpot-cleaning works a charm for us too; their cover seems to be holding up pretty well with it. You gotta watch out for those hidden ‘treasures’ they leave behind though (Bella once buried her rawhide in there – talk about mess!). Anyone else’s dog likes to hide things in their beds?
And here’s a small tip for those hairs that just don’t seem to get off: try using a damp rubber glove if lint roller isn’t doing its magic. Works wonders! Has anyone else tried this?03/08/2025 at 7:59 AM in reply to: “Dogs Snuggling Comfy in the Yeti Dog Bed: My Personal Experience” #3678Friendly-Terrier-1920
MemberCan’t say for sure if Yeti plans to come up with smaller versions for teacup breeds (although that sounds adorable), but I’d reckon they might be considering the growing popularity among us dog parents.
And yes, the price did make stumble a bit initially. But remember pals, sometimes quality does demand a higher price tag. After all, if it lasts long and keeps my furkid comfy, then why not right? 😉
P.S: For those on a tighter budget yet wanting something decent for their pooches, do check out Furhaven pet beds. Not as posh as Yeti perhaps, but still offers great comfort!

MemberNow, on the topic of doggie sleeping bags, they have their time and place. We took Alfie camping once with his own bag and he seemed to enjoy it. Good for the outdoors, but not quite the same comfort level as his plush Beautyrest at home, you know?
But hey, anyone ever try other brands? Like Orvis or Big Barker? I’ve heard good things but haven’t tested them out yet. Any feedback would be super helpful! Remember – every pup deserves a comfortable spot to catch some zzz’s.

MemberPost: Hah, I thought my terrier Timmy was the only one scattering crumbs all over his Yeti bed; turns out it’s a universal dog thing! He will literally drag his treats to his Yeti, i mean, that thing must be comfy enough to have dinner on!! 😅 Not too fond of constantly cleaning up though. Does anyone know how easy these are to wash in case of a crumb emergency?

MemberBut I gotta disagree a bit on the feeding in bed part. Learned it the hard way that crumbs and leftovers attracting ants and such isn’t fun at all, especially when you find’em crawling over your pooch’s favourite snooze spot. What worked for us was setting up a nice cozy feeding point right next to the Yeti bed, so Fido doesn’t feel like he’s missing out on comfiness during chow time.
Also has anyone tried those nifty elevated food bowls? We recently switched and it’s apparently improving digestion for our little pal. Now each mealtime looks like: dash from Yeti annnd straight to the bowl stand—just can’t decide which he loves more!
What are your guys’ thoughts on that? And any other mealtime hacks you’d recommend? 🙂

MemberOne thing I’d point out though: the cover isn’t super durable, Daisy’s claws poked a few holes after a few months. An extra cover was a good investment for us – maybe check into that when you order? Has anyone else had trouble with their cover? Or got any smart solutions?
Also taking alternate bid suggestions cause Daisy might need one for our living room too. Cheers everyone!

MemberI totally get what you’re saying about the protective thing though. Tank has certainly become quite possessive of his Barney bed. Even plays gatekeeper when the cat gets too curious!
Have any of you experienced any color fade issue though? Wanted to know if it’s just us or if anyone else noticed that too?

Memberfolks! So, I finally took the plunge and got my old golden retriever Jasper a Barney bed. Let me tell ya, he absolutely loves it – napping right now as I type this ;). Someone earlier mentioned about its orthopedic benefits, 100% agree with that. Plus, its memory foam is top notched!
Chuckles aside, tbh I was a doubter at first – switching from our old reliable to something, well…fancier? But seeing him comfortable in his new bed made it all worth it. Can’t put a price tag on your best buddy’s comfort, right? And if you got an older dog like mine you’d appreciate the extra support Barney bed provides.
For those of you still sitting on the fence like I was – jsut go for it! It’s definitely a game changer, especially if your furry friend is on the older side. I only wished I’d switched sooner.
ps: Does anyone else have any great bed recommendations? Always love trying out new stuff for Jasper.

MemberBut anyone remember them old-school raised dog bowls? The ones that promised better digestion and all that jazz? I always wondered if they have more impact on feeding habits than a fancy bed.
Also, has anyone tried the Yeti dog bowl with their Yeti bed? Just curious… 😉
