I totally agree with the love for Wholehearted treats here! My Great Dane, Daisy, is absolutely addicted to their Chicken and Sweet Potato recipe sticks. The size is perfect for her – not too small like some other brands we’ve tried and they are solid enough to last more than two seconds. Plus, they’re grain-free which is perfect for Daisy’s sensitive stomach. It’s been wonderful seeing her so excited for treat-time again. I’ve noticed that some stores sometimes run out of them though, I guess because they’re quite popular. Has anyone else experienced this or have any tips on where best to buy them?

Ha, reading all your stories is like seeing my own experiences! Freddy, my Dachshund, had a tough time with his diet before we switched to Applaws. He’s not a big guy but let me tell you, he can be picky!

I’ve found that investing in the higher quality ingredients of Applaws dry dog food like chicken and duck was well worth it over cheaper choices. Freddy picked up on the difference right away and became less finicky during meal times.

Price-wise, I won’t lie, it is a bit more expensive but honestly for the changes I’ve seen in Freddy’s overall wellness and happiness, it’s been absolutely worth every penny. But do make sure to transition slowly if you’re thinking about the switch and observe your dog’s reaction closely. If anything seems off, always better to consult with your vet.
Just wondering if anyone else’s pets took to certain flavor immediately or were they all gradual love affairs like Freddy’s?

Canidae Dry Food – A Staple in My Feeding Routine

I absolutely echo the praises for Canidae’s Grain Free Pure. Having a mixed breed fur kiddo who’s sensitive to grain, this food has been a heaven-send! I remember his first encounter with it—tail wagging, gobbling every bit, and even chasing the empty bowl. The bite-sized kibbles are perfect, no more worries about him choking or struggling to chew. Sure, other brands might be a tad less pricey but for me, seeing my pup enthusiastically enjoying his meals is worth every cent. Do you guys have any tips on how to store this food properly? The bag doesn’t have a resealable feature so I wanna make sure it stays fresh as long as possible!

Oh, Canidae’s dry food? My lovably stubborn bulldog, Biscuit, has been happily munching away the All Life Stages formula for several months now. Despite her choosy eating habits and more rolls than a bakery, she seems to love it – bowl gone in a blink kind of love. As far as the price goes, well, I won’t lie, it’s a bit on the pricey side, but let me tell you something we dog owners know deep down – good food is all about balance and not stuffing them with filler materials. No concerns so far (touch wood), but always be ready to chat up your friendly neighborhood vet if anything seems offbeat!

Just wanted to chime in on the Greenies conversation. I’ve been feeding my Boxer, Bruno, these treats for a few years now and he absolutely loves them. When choosing the size, I prefer going a size up than recommended becuase it takes him a bit longer to chew and this keeps him engaged. However, do keep an ey eon your pup while they’re enjoying their treat, as with any chewable items to avoid any potential choking hazards.

Just a little tip I picked up over time- incorporating the treats into playtime or training can make it a rewarding experience for both, the owner and the dog. For instance, Bruno does a trick or obeys a command, he gets a Greenie as reward!

About price, they are on the higher end compared to others but considering the quality and Bruno’s evident love for them, it’s totally worth it for me! Yet each dog is unique and if you have any doubts regarding food allergies or digestive issues its always best to consult your vet first. Does anyone else use these treats as part of their training routine?

Couldn’t agree more with your Ollie dry dog food reviews, pals. I’ve been feeding my Boxer, Boomer this food too. It’s been our go-to kibble for about a year now. I especially love that it comes in appropriately sized chunks for easy chewing and digestion – perfect for large breeds like mine.

A bit of a funny (or not so funny, rather) story about Boomer… At first, my stubborn boy wouldn’t touch the new food! The trick that worked for us was mixing in a tiny bit of wet food or broth; just enough to make the kibble smell more enticing. Once he got used to the taste of Ollie, there wasn’t any more fuss during meal times.

On a price note, while higher than your typical super-market brands, you definitely get what you pay for in terms of quality and nutritional value. This is why I personally feel it’s worth every penny. However, has anyone noticed changes in their dogs’ coat since switching to Ollie? Boomer seems shinier than ever but who knows – might be my imagination!

I couldn’t agree more with your review. My Bullmastiff Max loves Nutro treats as well and I’ve found them to be fantastic aid during his training sessions. I’m quite pleased with how long a single bag lasts, considering the size of the treats – they’re just right for those quick reward moments. Also, the fact that they’re made of natural ingredients is a big plus! With Max being a large breed, I appreciate not having to worry about giving him too many. But, as always, moderation is key in any diet. Anyone else who’s been using these treats noticing an improved focus during trainings?

I’ve been giving Good Lovin’ treats to my Beagle, Bella, for the last 6 months. I have definitely noticed that she goes absolutely bonkers for these treats! Despite them being a bit on the pricier side, I think they are worth it for how much she loves them. The treats seem quite durable and hold up well even when she tosses them around a bit before eating (a funny habit of hers!) As an alternative, you might want to try Blue Buffalo’s health bars – they are equally loved by Bella but come at a slightly lower price point.
But remember, always consult your vet if you’re considering changing your dog’s diet! What other brands does everyone recommend?

I can understand why Plato Dog Treats have gathered such a high-praised reputation. They’re certainly top-grade when it comes to quality and my labradoodle, Harley, can vouch for how irresistibly good they taste! However, taking into account the price tag and my big guy’s appetite, I’ve found that the K9 Natural Freeze Dried Dog Treats offer a more pocket-friendly alternative without compromising on the quality or taste. These treats are packed with natural ingredients, and Harley seems just as eager to get his paws on them as he does with the Plato’s. Just thought it might be worth mentioning for any dog owners looking for tasty yet budget-friendly treat options!
