ParticipantJust thought I’d chime in with my two cents on Buddy Biscuits. My terrier, George, is just about the fussiest eater you’ve ever come across and it’s really been a struggle to find treats he’ll consistently enjoy. I gave Buddy Biscuits a try after reading some good reviews online, not hoping for much. Imagine my surprise when George went wild over them! The small, manageable size is just perfect for him and they seem to keep fresh pretty long if you store them correctly.
However, I do find that they’re slightly pricier compared to some other brands out there. But for the joy they bring George, I’m willing to spend that bit extra. All in all, absolutely recommend giving them a shot if your doggo is picky about his treats! Anyone else feel they’re a bit on the dear side?

ParticipantHands down, The Bear and The Rat treats have been fantastic for us too! Especially impressed with the small size of these treats, they’re the perfect portion for my little doxie, Fidget. For anyone out there with smaller dog breeds, you know how hard it can be to find treats that are easy for them to manage.
When it comes to durability, these have a great crunch that really seems to satisfy her. I’ve noticed fewer crumbs left over compared to other brands we’ve tried in the past. My one tiny gripe might be the price point – it’s a bit steep but honestly considering the quality ingredients and Fidget’s clear love for them, it feels worth every penny.
We first introduced The Bear and The Rat treats to Fidget during training and boy did they help grab her attention! Would definitely recommend giving this strategy a shot if you’re looking for a new motivational tool during obedience sessions.
Has anyone else found other training uses for these treats? Or maybe even hidden benefits like improved coat condition? Of course it could purely be coincidental, but since we’ve started using these specific treats, I’ve noticed Fidget’s fur looking healthier and shinier than ever before. Could be wishful thinking…or maybe I’m onto something?? Would love to hear about other pup parents’ experiences!

ParticipantYeah, chiming in here with the ‘Alpo Prime Cuts standoff.’ My Boxer, Rufus, gave me the same look! Played around with the kibble size and mix-ins but no go. I’ve found a bit of success transitioning slowly – like ridiculously slowly – from his old food to the Alpo over a month or so. Still wasn’t his favorite but he got used to it. Honestly though, if your dog isn’t into it, maybe try another brand that caters to their palates better (you know what they say about leading a horse to water!). Check with our vet for suggestions if you’re not sure! Dogs are just like us; they have flavor preferences too!
