  • Here’s a curious alternative we stumbled upon – orthopedic dog beds filled with ‘shredded memory foam’. They feel pretty similar to Tempurpedic in terms of support and they don’t seem to retain heat as much. Have any of you tried those? Would really love to hear about your experiences if you have!

Also, side note – did I alway could have done this? But did anyone else feel like thier pup acted a bit out of sorts adjusting to the new feel of the bed at first?

To Jess’s parent – same issue here! Took him a couple of weeks before he even gave the bed a look-see. For those struggling with this transition, maybe give them some time and sneak their favourite things(bc let’s face it, your stuff, not theirs) into the bed for familiar scents.

I guess what I’m saying is – if you’re happy to patiently coax them into using it, go for it! If you’re looking for an immediate replacement that they’ll be drawn to right away? Hit up Amazon for them chunky knits I s’pose. Does anyone else have tips they’d wanna share in getting their pups used to these fancier beds?

So funny you guys are talking about the cozy cave bed. I’ve been using them for my two labs for a while now. They absolutely love snuggling up in them, especially during those chilly winter nights.

I agree with you all about the easy clean up – just pop the cover off and into the wash it goes – beats trying to wrestle a whole dog bed into the machine 😅.

One thing I’d note though – sometimes my older lab who’s got some arthritis struggles a bit to get in and out. For him, I found an alternate solution – a heated orthopedic bed. Keeps him cozy without any struggle.

Anyone else tried those before? Your thoughts?

Anyone else got any good advice on keeping these ‘bed picnics’ manageable?

And yep, it’s so vital to measure your pup before ordering. When I got my first one, I only guessed and ended up with a size too small. Bella managed just about but Bear was basically rolling off it. Lesson learned tho, now they both fit snugly in their own Jumbo sizes.

Anyone else notice how easy it is to clean? Just unzip and toss the cover in the wash – simple as that! Gotta say it beats scrubbing off muddy paw prints from our old bed!

Quick q though, anyone tried any of Furhaven’s orthopedic options for older dogs? Bella’s showing signs of arthritis and i’m thinkin’ it may be worth looking into.

Here’s an advice from a seasoned dog parent: Grab yourself a small handheld vacuum. Seriously, you’ll thank me later. It makes removing those pesky crumbs a breeze, plus it can do wonders in cleaning other pet messes around the house as well.

What all have you guys tried to make that crumb cleanup easier? Would love to hear your thoughts and tips.

guys, just chiming in here. I’ve had my lab on a fixed KD for over a decade now. You know, it works like the consistency of a Yeti dog bed—we all agree they are tops for comfort, right? Just like our dogs know coming back to their Yeti bed will be comfy at the end of the day; my Lab knows that his dinner bowl will always have his favorite kibble. He actually loves mealtime because of this routine we have set up! Though sometimes he does give me that ‘another chicken flavor, really?’ look. 😅 Anybody else’s pup ever throw them those judgmental glances at dinner time? Would love to hear how you handle it.

However, I noticed that the chew-resistant claim isn’t entirely accurate – Winston did manage to gnaw his way through one corner when he was really bored one afternoon. Guess nothing’s truly chew-proof hah! It’s still holding up well overall though. Has anyone else had this same issue ? Would love to hear your thoughts! Oh, and if you got any tips on discouraging chewing would appreciate it alot too! Cheers everyone 🙂

I totallly agree with what some of you’ve been saying about the material quality, it is top notch and I appreciate how easy to clean they are, especially with my hairy trio. But y’know something I haven’t seen mentioned yet? It’s their durability. These beds hold up well over time and can really endure those feisty diggers – talking from experience here!

My only tiny gripe would be the price. Could be a smidge more affordable for us multi-dog households…but again, in terms of quality and longevity, it sure seems worth it.

Ever given thought to making your own DIY dog bed though? Did that while waiting on delivery once & it was kinda fun. Plus, had all the control over customization! Anybody else ever tried this? Would love to hear your crafting tales!

Those fellas at My Pillow did something right, wonder if it’s that inner core they talk about. Anyway, anyone considering an upgrade should seriously think about giving it a shot. We’ve got 3 dogs (14 years of dog-owner wisdom here, people!), annd I’m thinking of getting another one for our terrier Bobby.

Our only struggle has been keeping them clean – any tips?

I’d totally agree with you on the washing part too – so easy to zip off that cover and chuck it in the wash, no hassles at all. And have you guys noticed how well it holds up? I’ve put ours through countless washes, and unlike every other bed we’ve tried, this one hasn’t lost its shape or softness. Although yeh remember not to whack it in the dryer- learnt that the hard way hah.
So definitely recommend these beds for doggos needing a bit of extra support! Anyone else found any other brands that hold up as good as this one for arthritic pups?
