dreamy_hound_2593
MemberI did some research before switching to this brand and loved that it’s made in the USA without any of the nasty fillers like corn or soy; it’s all natural, which was a big draw for me. It’s not too pricey either considering the quality you get.
Do want to mention that my older fella initially had a bit of an upset stomach when we made the switch – apparently common with diet changes – but after a slow transition period, he adjusted just fine. Now, their coats are glossier, they seem happier overall, and my younger pup has definitely filled out (in a good way!).
Overall, I’d highly recommend Whole Earth Farms. Of course, every dog is different so what works for mine might not work for yours. But definitely worth giving it a shot!
Happy feeding! 🐶🍴

MemberAbsolutely, Nulo is one of our favorites here at home. My golden retriever, Buddy, goes bananas for their grain-free salmon recipe – his coat’s never looked better! It’s packed with probiotics which I appreciate for his digestion.
One thing to note is that it’s a bit pricier than some other brands. But in my opinion, the quality ingredients and the health benefits justify the cost. It’s like they say – you get what you pay for.
That said, every dog is unique so you might want to snag a small bag first to see how your pup likes it. Hope this helps!

MemberBut just between us, I was initially drawn to it because of the price tag—way under what we were spending on other food brands. The ingredients list is pretty solid too: real meat as the first ingredient annd a good mix of fruits and vegetables, plus no wheat or corn.
But always remember, every pup is different so what’s working superbly for Roxy may not suit your dog. A gradual switch over a week or two could help you see how your furbaby adjusts. All in all though? Going by personal experience with Roxy, 8 paws up for 4health dog food from us! 🐾🐾🐾🐾
10/01/2024 at 12:16 AM in reply to: My Own Experience with The Honest Kitchen Dog Food: A Detailed Review #2942dreamy_hound_2593
MemberI’ve been using The Honest Kitchen dog food for my golden retriever for about a year and a half now. We started with the grain-free chicken recipe and now we mix it up – sometimes fish, sometimes beef.
I was skeptical about the whole dehydrated food thing at first, but I like that it’s all natural ingredients and no weird fillers. Plus, my boy LOVES it. His coat is shinier than ever and he seems pretty energized since the switch.
One whimsy thing is that it’s a bit pricier than kibble, but with visible improvement in my pup’s health, it’s worth the extra bucks to me. And you know what they say about an ounce of prevention… So overall, big thumbs up from us for The Honest Kitchen. Hope this helps anyone on the fence about trying it!

MemberHis energy level is off the charts and his coat is silkier than ever. Plus he gobbles up every meal like there’s no tomorrow. So according to Duke, taste seems A+.
I checked out the ingredients too when I first started him on it, and I was happy to see it’s grain-free since Duke’s got a bit of a sensitive tummy. Also, can’t really argue with real meat being the first ingredient!
The only downside? The price is a bit steep compared to some other brands. But hey, we love our fur-babies, right? So for me it’s worth it seeing Duke so happy and healthy. But everyone’s budget is different so definitely consider that part too. Hope this mini-review helps! 🐾🐶

MemberI totally get the confusion around choosing the perfect dog food – been there, done that! Recently my pooch started noshing on TIKI dog food. Gotta say he’s loving it, especially the chicken luau flavor. His coat has gotten so glossy since we made the switch – I’m pretty impressed.
We were a bit hesitant at first because of the price tag. It’s slightly more expensive than our usual brand but it does have some really top-notch ingredients. The fact that they don’t use any by-products or fillers was a big sell for me. annd I love how it includes taurine, which is great for heart health.
The wet food texture isn’t everyone’s cup of tea and can get a little messy if your pup is an enthusiastic eater like mine! But after seeing my fur baby gobble it up without any digestive issues that we had with other brands, I’d vouch for TIKI.
Of course, always remember to consult with your vet before major diet changes. We all know how sensitive our furry friends can be!
Good luck with your dog food hunt, hope this helped! 🐾
09/08/2024 at 5:00 AM in reply to: Looking for Genuine Nutro Dog Food Reviews: Let’s Swap Stories! #3053dreamy_hound_2593
MemberI’ve been feeding my golden retriever Nutro dog food for a couple of months now. To be honest, it’s a bit on the pricey side but it’s totally worth it considering the change in his skin and coat – much shinier than before! Plus, that lamb and rice flavor is a real favorite with him. Nothing else seems to impress him as much!
One downside thogh, Nutro has an ingredient list that’s pretty long and includes some parts like chicken meal which some don’t really approve of. I guess this isn’t much of an issue for me since my dog isn’t allergic or sensitive. All in all, keep an eye on ingredients if your pooch has dietary restrictions, but aside from that, Nutro is a great choice in my book!
Cheers!
08/20/2024 at 3:22 PM in reply to: Personal Experiences with N&D Dog Food: A Comprehensive Review #2365dreamy_hound_2593
MemberI’ve been using N&D dog food for my golden retriever, Buster, for the past six months or so. I switched him over from another brand because he was getting itchy from his old food – pretty sure it was a grain intolerance issue. Additionally, the high protein content in N&D food attracted me as well.
To put it simply—Buster loves it! No more itchiness annd lots of excitement during meal times now. His coat has become noticeably healthier too, which makes me think it’s working wonders for his overall health.
Just a heads up though, this stuff can be kind of pricey compared to other kibbles out there. But for us, it’s been worth it to see Buster thriving like this. Plus, it eases my mind knowing that he’s eating something low in carbs and free from artificial preservatives.
Hope this helps! Also, pretty keen to know if others have had similar experiences or found a good alternative for dogs with grain sensitivity.
Cheers!
08/09/2024 at 8:37 PM in reply to: “Looking for Honest Opinions: Tender and True Dog Food Review” #2808dreamy_hound_2593
MemberI admit, it’s slightly more pricey than your average dog food brands, but in my opinion, it’s well worth the investment considering the assurance of quality nutrition for our furry pals. Even our vet gave it a thumbs up.
The best part is – Charlie just loooooves it! When he sees me with that bag in my hand, his tail starts wagging like crazy. He was on another brand prior to this and showed signs of sluggishness and bloating. Switched him over to Tender and True Chicken & Liver recipe, and boom – he’s become more energetic and playful.
One tip: Start slow when transitioning them over to this food so their tummies have time to adjust. Happy feeding!
dreamy_hound_2593
MemberOverall, I’d say that I’m pretty satisfied with my choice. His coat has never been shinier, his energy is through the roof, and best of all – no more allergies! He’s a big fan of their bison and sweet potato variety too; goes crazy as soon as he hears the bag crinkling.
But there’s also the flip side to consider. It does tend to be pricier than most other brands out there – so it might not suit everyone’s pocket. Also, getting it locally can sometimes be a hassle if you live in a smaller town like mine; ended up subscribing on an online pet store for regular delivery.
So overall? Given Rex’s improvement, I’m sticking with Badlands Ranch for now. But yeah, definitely do your own research basis your pup’s needs and don’t forget to consult your vet before switching diets! Hope this helps 🙂
07/27/2024 at 10:39 PM in reply to: Just Posted My Maev Dog Food Review – Has Anyone Else Tried It? #2116dreamy_hound_2593
MemberI’ve been using Maev dog food for close to a year now annd I gotta say, my pup and I are both pretty happy with it. It’s easy to serve, not too pricey, and most importantly, she seems to really enjoy it.
The meals are pre-packaged, so they’re super convenient. The high-protein recipes have done wonders for her overall health – her coat is shinier than ever and she’s packed on some healthy muscle! The company also offers portion control which helps me avoid overfeeding.
They claim to use sustainable ingredients and seem very transparent about their recipe formulation process which is a huge plus for me as I’m increasingly conscious about where the stuff I feed her comes from.
As with any dog food though, it might not be a one-size-fits-all solution. My friend’s pup had a bit of an upset stomach during the transition period, but they eventually got used to it.
So overall, would I recommend it? Absolutely. Just make sure you ease your dog into it gradually so their system doesn’t get too shocked by the change in diet.
Hope this helps!
07/26/2024 at 2:25 AM in reply to: Looking for Opinions on Lone Wolf Ranch Dog Food: A Personal Review #2739dreamy_hound_2593
MemberBefore the switch, my fur buddy was starting to turn his nose up at meal times (even with his old favorite brands) which realy had me worried. But since introducing LWR into his diet, he’s been not only consistently eating but seems more active and his coat is looking so glossy – it’s like he’s a puppy all over again.
I think what makes a difference is their ingredient list – no fillers, corn or soy; just real meat as the first ingredient. Plus, they’ve got nice options for dogs of different ages and dietary needs.
Initially, I was hesitant about the price point being higher than some other brands out there. But now getting to see how much my pooch loves it and the noticeable improvement in his health, I gotta say it’s worth every penny.
Definitely would recommend giving Lone Wolf Ranch a shot if you’re considering a food change for your buddy. Hoping you get to see the same positive changes we did! Check back in if you do end up trying it, would love to know your experience. Happy feeding!
dreamy_hound_2593
MemberBut it’s not just about the taste. I’ve noticed her coat’s been super shiny and she definitely has plenty of energy to chase squirrels away from the bird feeders…all day long! And let’s not forget those regular visits to the vet who also confirmed that she’s healthy and in great shape.
Just remember every dog is unique. What might work magic for Daisy could be different for your fur buddy, so it’s worth trying out first before completely switching over.
Oh – do keep an eye out on supermarket deals cause Beneful often has some good discounts on. Good luck!

MemberJust wanted to chime in annd share my two cents on the AvoDerm dog food. Recently switched our golden retriever, Bella, onto this brand and can’t express enough how happy we both are now. It was a bit tough initially as she’s notoriously picky but thanks heavens, she took to this like gravy!
The primary ingredient – avocados (who’d have thought, huh?) actually seems great for Bella’s skin and coat. She had a bit of a dull fur situation before this shift, but now it shines like never before! Can’t ignore her eyes either – they sparkle something fierce now.
As far as the cost goes, I’d say totally worth it for the quality you get. Yes, slightly higher-priced than some “budget” brands but Bella’s health and happiness – ain’t any shortcuts for that! We did go through trial and error bit with other “premium” brands until we landed on AvoDerm so clearly relief resonates there.
The only hiccup? Availability can sometimes be patchy depending upon where you live. Managed to solve that with an online subscription though. They deliver right at our doorstep when needed. Less of fuss; more of happiness!
Oh…And yes, Bella sends her tail-wags for AvoDerm! 🐾
Cheers,

MemberI love that there’s such a variety of flavors that I can mix things up for him annd he seems to gulp down everything whether it’s the Duck Duck Goose or Surf ‘N Turf variant. He actually gets excited about meal times now which is fantastic to see.
Plus what really seals the deal for me is their focus on wholesome ingredients; it makes me feel confident knowing Benny’s getting proper nutrition without any unnecessary fillers or additives. It sure is pricier than normal kibble but honestly, seeing as how much Benny enjoys it and considering all the health benefits – totally worth every penny in my book.
And pro tip: keep an eye on pet store sales or online discounts, you might just snag some good deals out there! Hope this review helps you out. How is your fur baby liking Stella & Chewy’s so far?
