MemberOne thing though, it’s not exactly budget-friendly. But of course on the flip side – you’re paying for quality ingredients. Also gotta be honest, their flavor variety could be broader. But all in, if you’re thinking about splurging a bit for improved doggo health, Solid Gold is worth considering! Nope, they didn’t pay me to say that haha… If only! 😜

MemberI switched from a high-end brand because of cost issues and I was apprehensive at first, considering Nutra Nuggets significantly less expensive. But honestly? I’m seeing the same results if not better.
The only downside is that it can be a bit tough to find in stores. Most times I just hit up Amazon and it’s there.
Of course, every dog is different and what works for mine might not work for yours. It’s always safe to consult with your vet before switching food brands. Cheers!

MemberOne thing that concerned me initially was the price point; it’s a bit higher than some other options on the market. But considering the grain-free recipe and real meat as the first ingredient, I’d say it’s worth the investment for my furry pals’ health.
However, always check with your vet before switching food because each pooch is unique. What works for my two may not work for your fur buddy. Hope this helps!

MemberDo remember though, every dog’s dietary needs can vary quite a bit depending on their age, breed, and health status. So although Toby loves Purina Pro Plan, it doesn’t necessarily mean that it’ll work just as great for all dogs out there.
However, on the whole, I appreciate how Purina offers a good variety of recipes and formulas to choose from – especially those to accommodate specific dietary needs. Just make sure you read the ingredient list carefully; certain fillers or allergens might not sit well with your furry friend.
All said and done, Toby and I are pretty happy customers so far!

MemberOn the other hand, a toned-down version of pork such as cooked, lean, unseasoned cuts can potentially be okay in small servings if your vet agrees. After all, moderation is key and it’s always important to keep our pup’s diet balanced!
Anything tougher in texture could be a choking hazard or cause digestive trouble. Seriously – my buddy Max once had a field day with some ribs I left out and he ended up at the vet with stomach issues. Lesson learned! 🐶
Of course, each dog is different so you might want to consult your vet before introducing new human foods into their diet!
Stay pawsitive and give your fur baby a belly rub for me!

MemberOn top of that, they actually seem to enjoy the taste. Seriously, my other pup, Buster? He’s picky like nobody’s business, has turned his nose up at brands plenty of friends swore by. But with Nulo, he digs right in without second thoughts.
Only downside is it runs a bit pricier than what we were using before but given the benefits, I think it’s totally worth the extra bucks. Watch out for sales – sometimes you can snag a deal! Hope this helps anyone who’s been sitting on the fence about trying Nulo!

MemberSpot (my golden retriever) and I recently switched to Badlands ranch dog food, and so far, it’s been a game-changer!
First things first, Spot loves the taste. Previously, he’d often leave food in his bowl or wasn’t as enthusiastic about meal times, but with this stuff, his bowl is licked clean every time.
The ingredient list impressed me too – real meat as the primary component alongside nutritious veggies and minimal fillers. Feels good knowing what I’m feeding my boy isn’t just flavor, but also beneficial for his health.
Noticed a visible difference in Spot’s coat condition as well – shiny and less shedding which our couch appreciates! His energy level seems boosted too.
One downside thogh – it’s a bit pricier than our old kibble. But hey, if it means giving Spot a healthier diet, it worths every penny. At least that’s how I see it.
Would love to know others’ experience on this. Keep those tails wagging everyone!

MemberSuper convenient too because it’s sold in both pet stores and online. Price-wise it’s on par with most premium brands, which could be a bit steeper than the regular stuff. But hey, you get what you pay for right?
One small gripe is that the kibble size is a bit larger than usual. For younger pups or smaller breeds , this might pose an issue as far as swallowing goes. But all in-all, Black Gold woofs… uh, I mean roars, when it comes to quality and nutritional value.
As always though, make sure you keep an eye on how your pooch is responding when transitioning to any new feed. What works for Bowie might not necessarily work for your fur buddy!
CuriousTerrier9423
MemberHowever, I was a bit concerned about the grain content because I’ve heard all those stories about grain free diets being better for dogs. After researching though, I found out grains aren’t necessarily bad unless your pup is allergic to them. Also, they switched to using real meat as the first ingredient which made me feel better about feeding it to Max.
Keep an eye on your dog’s reaction when switching food though. If they start showing any signs of distress or unusual behavior – definitely seek advice from your vet. Every dog is different after all!

MemberI mean, sure it’s a bit pricier than some other brands but honestly, I think it’s worth it. Plus, the whole rehydrating process isn’t as painful as it sounds. Hot water, wait 15 minutes and bam, dinner is served! The little lady gobbles it up before I even have time to refill my coffee mug!
One thing to keep in mind thogh– hydration is key with this food because of its freeze-dried format. So ensure your pup drinks enough water if you’re switching over to Grandma Lucy’s. Anyway, that’s my two cents on the matter!

MemberJust saw this post and thought to chip in my two cents about Member’s Mark dog food. We’ve been using it for about 6 months now for our golden retriever, Tucker. It’s been pretty great so far! Tucker seems to love the taste and he hasn’t had any digestive problems.
Looking at the ingredient list, you can tell they don’t skimp out on quality. I was really happy to see real meat as the first ingredient and not some obscure by-product stuff you find in cheaper brands.
But what makes me crack a smile every time is the price-to-bag ratio. I’ve spent a small fortune on other big-name brands before discovering Member’s Mark; I mean, raising a healthy good boy ain’t cheap, right!? Well turns out, with this one it doesn’t have to punch holes in your wallet.
Anyhow, I gotta add this – every dog is different and what works for Tucker might not work for others. Best of luck finding the right kibble for your furry friends!

MemberWhen I first switched to TIKI, I was lured in by all those premium ingredients – human-grade venison, fish, and the likes. Would you believe it? Maggie took to it like a fish to water! Sure knocked my socks off. And the cons? Well, for one, TIKI can be a bit pricey compared to other brands out there. But I think every penny’s worth considering the quality of their products.
Maggie has been full of beans lately; her coat looks shinier and she seems healthier overall. No more sniffles or tummy issues. So yeah, it might not be everyone’s cup of tea but definitely works for us.
Keen to hear other good pupper parents’ experiences though! Peace out!

Memberjuts wanted to toss in my two cents about Nutrisource dog food as you’re considering it. I’ve been feeding this brand to my two Goldies for about a year now and can honestly say I’m pretty pleased with the results. Their coats are shiny, and they seem more energetic and less bloated than when I was feeding them some of that cheaper stuff from the grocery store.
It’s a bit on the pricey side, but look at it this way, the bag lasts longer than you’d think since you don’t generally need to feed them huge portions due to its high-quality ingredients. Plus, it’s super convenient if you go for an autoship option like on Chewy or some such site.
One thing I’ll say though is that transitioning your pup over to Nutrisource needs to be done carefully and gradually just like any other brand switch. My boy Cooper had a little bit of an upset tummy for a few days but nothing major.
All in all, from what I’ve experienced, Nutrisource seems like a solid choice. But hey, every dog is different so just make sure your furry buddy takes well to it and keep an eye out for any changes in their digestion or behavior.
Best of luck!

MemberThe selling point for me was the quality of ingredients. I mean, there’s meat from free-range chicken, lamb meal, salmon meal – basically everything beneficial for a furry superstar like Max! Plus no wheat, corn or soy which Max is allergic to.
I’d recommend giving TLC a go if you haven’t yet, but remember every pup is unique so keep an eye on them during any diet transitions. Woof woof!
CuriousTerrier9423
MemberI’ll be honest with you, when I first saw the price tag I was dubious – thought it can’t be great quality for that price, right? But I gave it a shot after hearing some decent reviews, and boy was I surprised. It’s actually packed with all the nutrients Bobby needs to keep smashing those long walks we always take!
One thing though, if your fur-baby is a picky eater they might turn their nose up at this one. The flavor options aren’t realy expansive. Bobby isn’t too fussed about variety so it works out fine for us.
Just to note – if your pooch has any specific dietary requirements, please consult your vet before making any serious changes to his or her diet! Always better to be safe than sorry.
All in all, considering its price point and nutritional balance, I’d rank Kal Kan as a solid choice for anyone on a budget wanting quality food for their doggy pals.
