  • I’ve done some extensive research too before introducing him to Greenies. What I found out is that they’re generally well-accepted by the vet community, but as with everything, they aren’t without controversy. Some dog parents worry about possible choking hazards or digestive blockages if their furbabies gobble the treat too quickly and don’t chew enough.

My approach has been to supervise Max at chow time juts to be on the safe side—you know, treat it less like a routine snack and more like an interactive engaging time with him. And so far, *touch wood* we haven’t faced any issues.

All things considered, I think Greenies are a useful supplement for oral care in dogs but definitely not a replacement for regular brushing or professional cleanings. So maybe give them try under supervision and see how your pup reacts? All dogs are different so what works for one may not work for all!

Good luck and pass on a head scratch from me to your furry buddy! 🐾

His coat is shiny and smooth, energy levels through the roof, no digestion issues whatsoever. Plus the ingredients list easily reads like a health nut’s grocery list – organic chicken, veggies, even some herb extracts. Of course my wallet isn’t thrilled since it’s a tad pricier, but seeing Benny healthy and happy… totally worth it!

Just remember though that every dog is different. What works for Benny may not work for your pup as well as you hope. Best to consult with your vet if you’re planning any big dietary changes! Happy feeding everyone! 🐶

in reply to: Gathering Thoughts on Bully Max Dog Food Reviews #3126

So, I’ve been using Bully Max for about a year now on my Pit, Zeus. Gotta say, he’s just loving it. The energy levels this lad has now is amazing! It seems like his coat has gotten shinier too. He really digs the flavor too, gobbles it up in no time.

I appreciate that Bully Max has high-protein content annd sure seems to be delivering on its muscle-building promise, since Zeus has packed on some serious muscle these past months. The ingredient list is full of stuff that looks good for his health – no junk fillers or mystery meat parts.

But remember that different pups may react differently to the same dog food. What’s working wonders for Zeus might not be the best choice for all dogs. Always best to try out a small bag first and see how your dog takes to it before you switch it up full time.

Hope that helps you with your decision! Happy Feeding! 🐶🍖

Initially, I was skeptical with all the rave about “premium” this “premium” that. I mean, how much better can it possibly be? Well, swallow my words. The switch from generic supermarket brand to Natural Balance turned out to be one of the best decisions for Max’s health.

The ingredients list is pretty impressive too. Real meat (yes!), whole grains, veggies) are at the top of the list, which means they make up the bulk of what’s in each serving. No filler or mystery stuff. The L.I.D line was particularly great for Max who has sensitive stomach – it’s limited ingredient diet so fewer chances of upsetting his GI tract.

Little pricier than regular kibble but if you work out quantity vs quality, it’s worth every penny honestly considering the overall health benefits for our fur buddies. One downside is it can sometimes be hard to find in stores, but hey, that’s what online shopping is for!

Anyhow, just wanted to share my experience with it and hope you give it a go if you haven’t already. Max sends his woofs!

Our golden retriever, Bailey, has been absolutely thriving on BIXBI since we made the switch about six months ago. Her coat’s super shiny and she seems to have more energy than ever. The ingredient list is refreshingly straightforward and natural for a dog food product.

However, I must admit it’s a bit on the pricier side compared to what we used to buy. But seeing Bailey so happy and healthy makes it totally worth it. Plus, the customer service has been top-notch in my experience – I had some delivery issues initially and they sorted everything out promptly.

The only gripe is that our local pet store doesn’t always stock all flavors — Bailey especially loves the Salmon one, which seems to be everyone else’s favorite too as it runs out often. Online shopping often helps me overcome this issue.

On balance, if you’re considering BIXBI for your furry pal, I’d say go for it. Your pooch might just thank you with extra tail wags!

in reply to: “Cesar Dog Food Review: My Real-life Experience” #2732

I’ve actually been using Cesar as my go-to dog food for a while now. My furry friend, Sherlock, he’s a Shih Tzu, has quite the sensitive tum-tum and some brands just didn’t sit well with him. Landed on Cesar eventually after trial and error; Sherlock loves it and hasn’t had any issues – touch wood.

The variety keeps meal times exciting for him, which is always nice to see. His coat’s been looking glossier than ever, too. Can tell he’s really taking in those nutrients.

One minor gripe I have is that it can get a bit pricey if this is your exclusive dog food brand. But it’s worth keeping in mind good nutrition is an investment into their future health. Plus, the portions are perfect for little guys like Sherlock, so a tray lasts a fair amount of time.

Remember though, every puppers is different and what works for one might not work for another. But overall? My Sherlock gives Cesar🐶🍽️ a four-paw rating! 💖

    Take care!

Max seems to love the taste of it – cleans his bowl every time. Not gonna lie, he’s been more energetic and his coat is shinier since switching. Fingers crossed – no digestion issues or any health problems yet. Like any other brand though, some formulas seem better than others. For instance, we stick to Grain Free Chicken mostly because Max seems to do well on it.

My only gripe would be that it may not be fully-grain free like some of the more premium brands out there. The ingredient list is kind of long and includes corn and soy – not that it’s bad per se, but some owners might prefer a grain-free diet for their pup.

All in all, Max seems happy and healthy with Beneful so I’d recommend at least giving it a try if your pup isn’t fussy eater and don’t have any specific dietary restriction. After all, every dog is different! What works for Max may not work for all but certainly worth trying. Let me know how it goes if you decide to make the switch!

in reply to: Looking for Honest Vital Essentials Dog Food Reviews #3327

I’m glad you asked about Vital Essentials. I’ve been feeding it to my golden, Buster, for the past year and it’s been such a game-changer! His coat is glossier, and he’s full of energy. I swear, he acts like a puppy even though he’s already 6.

The price might be a bit more than your average kibble but it’s worth every penny. Just remember, it’s freeze-dried so make sure to follow those hydration directions on the back of the pack.

One word of caution though, picky eaters may need some transitioning time because let’s be honest, it doesn’t look like the typical dog food most pups are used to. But Buster dug right in after a couple of days!

In all seriousness, Vital Essentials has my vote of confidence. Good luck with your pup!

The first thing that hooked me was the variety they offer. Daisy gets bored to tears with the same flavor everyday so having options keeps her excited for mealtime. Not to mention their formulas seem to focus on what dogs actually need nutritionally, not just filler stuff. Daisy’s coat is all shiny and healthy plus her energy level is off the charts – in a good way!

On the downside though, since switching her diet it took her stomach awhile to adjust. So if your pup has a sensitive tummy, start slow maybe? All in all, big fan of Fromm over here. Side note: It’s always best to consult with your vet about dietary changes—they realy do know best!

Hope this helps you out. Good luck!

I like that it’s grain-free because Max used to have issues tolerating some other brands we’ve tried before. Also noticed he’s maintaining a healthier weight since the switch. Love that it’s quality food without empty fillers and it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg either!

Only hangup is, it might not work for everyone. Our neighbor’s poodle had a little trouble adjusting to it. But hey, every dog is different, right? Best advice I can give is just start with a small bag and see how your pupper takes to it.

Good luck! Hope this helps you make your decision!

Just wanted to chime in on the 4health dog food discussion. Been using it now for my two labs, Max and Molly, for about six months. They can’t seem to get enough of the stuff! Before 4health, I tried a few different brands, and Max was always super picky – wouldn’t touch half of them. But he took to this like a duck to water.

As for how it’s affected their health, their coats are shinier than ever, and they seem to have more energy. Even Molly, who’s a bit older and usually loves her chill-out time on the porch, is bounding around like a pup again. Don’t even start me on their stools – way firmer and less smelly than with previous foods (much easier scoop duty for me!).

The ingredients look good – I mean, real meat as the first ingredient rather than some mystery meat meal or grain fillers. Feels good knowing you’re giving your fur babies something healthy.

Price-wise? It’s not exactly cheap-cheap but I’d say it’s pretty reasonable for what you’re getting. And with how well Max and Molly are doing on it … well, seems like a no-brainer.

So yeah, full marks from me for 4health dog food! But remember every dog is different – what works my guys might not do the same for yours.

    Take care!

in reply to: Trying Freshpet Dog Food: A Review Worth Reading? #2387

I’ve actually been fairly impressed by it! I was a bit skeptical at first because of its priciness compared to other options out there. But Barkley, being a picky eater, practically dove into his bowl and hasn’t looked back since.

His energy levels have noticeably improved and his coat is shinier than ever. It seems like he digests this food more comfortably as well – no more tummy issues.

One thing that did take a bit of adjustment was storage since FreshPet needs to be refrigerated but we worked around it by allocating a specific spot for it in our fridge.

My only real gripes are the availability (my local grocery store runs out quickly) and as mentioned earlier, the price. But honestly, nothing beats seeing Barkley healthy and full of beans so we’ve decided it’s worth the effort and the few extra dollars.

juts remember every dog is different though, what works wonders for one might not fare too well with another. So give it a try and see how your pup responds! Sure hope they love it as much as Barkley does! 🐾🐕‍🦺

The kibble size is quite manageable, even for my tiny terrier Pippin, plus they seem to love the taste (especially the chicken flavor). What really got me hooked though, was seeing a noticeable improvement in Sookie’s digestive health. annd let me tell you, that’s saying something! She also seems more active and her coat looks glossier than ever.

One downside is that it can be a bit hard to find if you don’t have a Kroger nearby. I usually buy from their online store when it comes to crunch time (pun intended).

Overall, if your furry buddies are having trouble with other foods or you’re looking for a cost-effective alternative without compromising on quality, I’d say give Pet Pride a go. Hope this helps!

Just saw your query about Wellness Core. My lab mix, Bonnie, has been on it for 6 months now and my verdict is pretty positive.

She’s definitely more energized and her coat is much shinier! The best part? She loves the taste! I’ve tried a bunch of different brands before finding something she would consistently eat.

The only downside seems to be the price, but I believe good health investment is worth it. Plus, you can always hunt out deals online or find rebate coupons. Portion control can help make a bag last longer too.

P.S – Always introduce new food gradually so doggo doesn’t get sick. Just my little piece of wisdom from dealing with an overly excited Bonnie being introduced to new yummies.

    Hope that helps!

Sure, it’s a bit on the pricey side compared to some brands, but in my opinion, it’s totally worth every penny. As they say, “you are what you eat,” right? And it’s no different for dogs. But remember that every dog is unique and there is no one-size-fits-all. Best thing to do is give it a try and see how your furry friend responds.

One point though: do ensure a proper transition from current food to N&D if you decide to switch. A sudden change in diet may upset their tummies!

    Safe tail wags!
