  • As for reaching out to Yeti, I’m not sure about a dedicated hotline haha but when Sammy managed to pull at some of the stitching (he’s a bit of a nibbler), their customer service was top-notch. They replaced the cover no questions asked. So they might not have a doggie-bed-hotline per say, but they’re pretty on ball in my experience.

Remember to keep your warranty info safe though guys- that stuff comes in handy big time. Anyone bought one second hand and had issues tho? Should you even buy pet beds second hand? Thoughts?

Also wondering if you guys might have some suggestions on how to introduce the bed to a dog who hasn’t had his own bed before? I’ve been asked by my cousin to help train her pup. Any advice or personal experience is much appreciated!

there fellow dog lovers! So, I saw some chatter about the Big Barker bed and thought I’d share my experiences too. I gotta say, after trying other brands that promised the world and delivered… well, not much… the Big Barker was a refreshing change! You can actually feel the quality of the materials they use – it’s impressive, really. Frankie, my golden retriever, never used to sleep through the night until we got him the Big Barker – now he’s out like a light!

Now, I totally get wanting bolstered sides (hey terry_so) but personally, I found that Frankie really enjoys stretching out flat without anything hindering his ‘bed yoga’ sessions haha. Before switching over to Big Barker though, frnkie was using Bedsure Orthopedic Pet Sofa Bed. It had raised edges if bolster is what you are after! Definitley not as durable as the Big Barker but still an okay option to consider.

Oh, and p.s., despite having zero gathering skills (I struggled with an IKEA shelf once), found the setup pretty straightforward with this one. Hope this helps someone who’s on the fence!

So, funny thing is, my Betsy took to the PetFusion Ultimate Dog Bed like a duck to water! Didn’t have any of that weird smell you guys are discussing here. In fact, washed or not, she just sunk right in annd her snores were music to my ears. 😄

I totally agree with wrapping thier fav blanket around for a bit though. A sense of familiarity can often make such a big difference for them to accept new stuffs. But honestly, I didn’t notice a need for warming up this bed before use. It seemed pretty comfortable off the bat. 👍

Anyway, another tip – I’ve been using lavender oil on Betsy’s bed (just couple of drops). Not only does it keep the bed smelling fresh but also has a calming effect on Betsy’s sleep. So if your fur babies are having trouble adapting, maybe give that stratgy a spin? And feel free to share how it goes!

Lastly, could the odor issue be more noticeable with certain colors or was that the case across the board? 🤔

    Hope this helps!

Despite being an uber chewer, Rex hasn’t even attempted to gnaw it (miracle!). The bed is crazy soft and he snuggles up in it for hours. You’d think there was some magic comfort spell at work. If you’re on fence about it, I say take the leap and get one.

Also, anyone else have experience with washing these? I haven’t spilled coffee on it (yet), but just wonderin’ how it holds up in the wash.

Some of you’ve mentioned how expensive they are, and I totally get that worry. When I first looked at the price tag I almost choked! But decided to bite the bullet as me pal was struggling with his sleep.

And.. there are cheaper alternatives out there. Have any of ya tried memory foam beds from other less well-known brands? Our neighbor swears by one she got from an online store which cost her less than half of what Tempur’s asking!

Always remember tho, it’s not just about the brand or cost – your pooch needs to be comfortable and like it too. Atleast, mine, stubborn as he is, took a whole week to get used to the new bed, lol . So make sure you keep receipts and return policies handy just in case!

Would love to hear anyone’s experience with alternative brands! Any recommendations for budget-friendly yet comfy dog beds?

in reply to: Why I Swear by the Pendleton Dog Bed for My Pooch #5666

I’ve got to agree here. I’ve had the Pendleton dog bed for my lab, Max, for about a year now and it’s held up brilliantly. A definite improvement compared to the cheape rpads we used to get him. The cover’s really durable and easy to pop off and wash, plus Max seems to approve of the comfy factor too! 🐾But yeah, bear in mind if your pup is an upholstery terrorist – this might not be the best choice hahaha.

Adding to what @PawsnClaws mentioned above, I found that introducing chew toys really helped with Max’s furniture cravings – perhaps Bella might benefit from some extra chewable distractions laying around?

Totally agree with you about Hermes dog beds. Got one for my St Bernard, and we’ve been loving it. The bed’s size is just perfect for him plus the comfort level is on another level (he literally won’t leave it). And though it’s pricy, I feel like it’s worth every penny considering the top-notch quality.

Does anyone know how to clean them properly though? My dog has a knack for messing things up real quick haha.

I would suggest focusing on portion control if you’re worried about overfeeding or “spoiling dinner”. And yeah, totally vouch for the high walls of those ugg beds — great at keeping stray crumbs off your floor.

Anyone else tried serving mealworms in these? Heard they love ’em squirm but unsure how messy it coud get… 🐛🤔

But if I had to choose between a hungry dog annd a content one lounging on his favorite Yeti, I’ll pick the latter any day of the week. The transformation in him has been heartwarming to witness 🐶 Anyone else got similar experiences with their fur-babies loving the bed so much, they gobble down dinner now just to get playground time on it?
