MemberI totally get your point about the Yeti Dog Bed’s high price tag, but I’m with you – it’s been totally worth it for our pup. Adopted a hefty golden retriever about a year back and we’ve been through an embarrassing number of beds that he’s torn apart in days. But this Yeti bed? Different story entirely!
Got hands on the Yeti 4 months ago and it’s still standing without a single rip or tear – mission impossible achieved! It’s super durable and comfy (our golden seems to love it). Yes, my pocket felt pretty light after the investment, but looking at how many beds we’ve saved from ending in shreds, kinda makes me feel like I’m ahead haha.
Only woe is that our golden now doesn’t wanna get off his royal throne even for food…can’t say i blam him though xD. Anyone else’s fur baby turned bed-lover after bringing the Yeti home?

MemberBut isn’t there a risk of getting the bed dirty? That’d certainly be a downside for me, because Rex can be quite the messy eater. Has anyone figured out any hacks to keep it clean?
Also, for those worried about cleanliness, I’ve had great luck with one of those plastic placemats stuck under the food and water bowls, stops most of the spillage from spreading around – just another idea to consider!

MemberHe loves the comfy feel and it sure beats binge-eating off of the floor. We also found that by putting his food near his snug bed, he felt more secure and ate slower — useful if ya have a rapid eater like mine.
Has anyone else tried this combo? Any tips for making the feeding area even better? I’m all ears…or eyes actually, since I’m reading!
Keep those tails wagging guys 🐶

MemberDid any of your dogs have a period of adjustment to their Yetis? Jax took to his immediately which kinda surprised me. Also, anyone clean theirs yet? Haven’t found any explicit cleaning instructions on the tag, although Sammy’s owner said reaching out to Yeti helped. Maybe we should start a Yeti hotline for all our queries haha! Anyway, any tips would be great, especially on the cleaning front!

MemberAnyway, totally agree with what K said earlier – if money’s tight, certainly look into cheaper durable alternatives. Anyways, curious if anyone has tips for getting your pooch to use their new bed during meal times? Xavy was initially sceptical (but now he wouldn’t eat anywhere else!)

MemberHad anybody thought about doggie sleeping bags? They’re much cheaper and great for outdoor types. My sister uses one for her terrier when they take their camping trips together. Could be ood alternative depending on your pup’s preference!

Memberfellow dog owners! Totally get the struggle with picky eaters, I mean my pooch will straight up turn his nose up at everything… But wait till he cozies up in the ugg bed, it’s like he can’t resist it. Seems like it’s not just comfy to sleep on, my lil’ furball loves having meal times on it as well, something about feeling secure maybe? Now it’s less of trying to coax him to eat. Might work for your tribunal little pupsters too, who knows?
@GoldenRottieMomma I wasn’t too keen initially either – a bed that costs more than some of my kitchen appliances – crazy right?! But as per your advice gave this one a whirl and yep, now we’re converted! Cheers for pointing that out.
What kind of food are you all using though? Sometimes I wonder if it’s down to what we’re serving that makes munching hour such a hit n’ miss affair!
Btw any other products from UGG that are worth a shot? Nudging towards spoiling my boy a bit more.😁

MemberHe was always a fussy eater but now he finishes up his new food much faster, presumably to dive into that bed asap…haha!
Oh and btw – that bed is worth every single penny in case any of you’re still on the fence about it! Superior quality, extremely robust and Max hasn’t looked comfier. Although, do you think the immediate food change & his newfound love for Yeti could be related?
P.S. – Don’t worry too much abt upsets during diet switches, little patience never hurts! 😉

MemberI’ve had my yeti dog bed for almost a year now and I gotta tell you, it’s made a huge difference at meal times. It creates a separate, comfy space for Fido and he really seems to enjoy his eating time there. Keeps him from scavenging leftovers too!
My advice would be to establish the bed as a dedicated space before meals, perhaps with a treat or two? Has anyone else trained their fur baby this way? It worked wonders for me! Plus, the yeti dog bed is super durable and easy to clean.
On another note, is it okay to let them eat their meals on the bed? Could it become messy or unhygienic? What do other pooch parents think?
