Just last year, I bought an Orvis for our retriever mix Chloe who looves sprawling out while snoozing. We went with the Deep Dish model and it’s been a life-changer, seriously. Chloe is far more rested and relaxed after her naps – I firmly believe because she has her own little luxe spot.

To the rest of you though, if you’re still debating models, have you thought about your pup’s sleeping habits? For sprawlers and dogs who like a leil extra security, I’d recommend the Bolster. For those in love with their comfort, Deep Dish is a no-brainer! What say? Do you think sleeping style should factor into this whole Orvis choice?

That said, y’all are right about the price point. It’s defenitely on the higher side, but then again – what’s pricy if it saves ya from buying a new bed every couple of months, right?

When we got the Kong bed, I used Ralphie’s favourite blanket and played fetch using his favorite toy near the bed. That seemed to do the trick for him and it may help some of your pups too!

Have any of you tried using a spray or other scent-based deterrent to discourage chewing, especially when introducing a new bed? Just curious to see if that’s worked for anyone else.

So true about the washing part, guys! I’ve had my little Bella’s Hello Kitty Dog bed for a few months now and made the mistake of tossin’ it in the washing machine early on. Biiig mistake, let me tell ya. Oversaturated the filling and it took forever to dry out! Since then, I stick to spot cleaning and airing it out once every fortnight or so. Works like a charm, and Bella seems to enjoy her bed way more that way!

Has anyone found a simple method they swear by for deep cleaning these beds though? Bella is quite the adventurer and sometimes the ‘spots’ are spread all over…lol.

I was kinda skeptical at first too (just like you mentioned) due to the price tag but seriously fellas, this bed is an investment worth making for your furbaby’s comfort. Anyone else noticed improved sleep in thier dogs with this bed?

P.S: One hot tip – make sure you measure your dog while he/she is sleeping before ordering so you get the best fit! The sizing chart on the website is spot-on.

But on the question of heat absorption – remember guys, no matter what kind of bed you have, if your dog is feeling too hot, they’re more likely to just sleep on the floor anyway! So much for expensive beds, eh? 😄

Buuuut, gotta agree with some previous posters on one thing-the durability factor isn’t great when your pup’s a chewer. Daisy’s got past her chewing days now, but back then, she could’ve torn one apart in hours flat. No joke!

For younger dogs, or our fellow owners dealing with a destruco-pup phase, maybe consider alternatives like Kong beds. They hold up pretty well in my experience annd save you the heartache of replacing a pillow-strewn disaster zone. 😅 jsut my two cents here.

Anyone else here swapped to a different brand after the puppy phase? Would love to hear what worked well for others! Good luck to all dealing with those cute little tornadoes!

Must say, it’s surprisingly sturdy for a product aimed at kids. The padding stands up well too, even after numerous washings. Perfect for smaller breeds though, not sure how a Lab or German Shepard would fare on it ;).

What’s more intriguing is, Molly seems to love it? You guys might remember her old obsession with her plain tan bed…but no such luck now! She’s HELLO KITTY all the way!

Question for those who’ve had it a bit longer: have you noticed any fading with the Hello Kitty print? Just curious as this perkiness is part of what won Molly over…don’t want her sulking if Kitty vanishes post few more washes. Lemme know!

P.S- Totally unexpected winner in my books. Unpredictability is the spice of dog parenting life eh? 😉

It’s the perfect little doggie den — especially if you’ve got a burrower or an older dog who loves to be swaddled and warm. It might seem pricey at first glance, but quality plus our pups’ comfort? Priceless right? Totally agree with you guys – if you’re on fence about it, let Molly be your nudge. My only minor gripe? It takes a bit more effort to clean compared to regular beds but totally worth it for our fur babies’ joy.

A tip: You might wanna add a dog-safe heating pad inside during winters. But keep an eye on your pup, don’t want them getting too toasty! Anyone else trying this trick too? 🐾
