Member100% agree with most of the points you guys made here. My pooch has had his Diggs for about 6 months now and it’s held up impressively, even when we’ve taken it outside on our camping trips. It’s durable and handles well in various conditions. One advice though – I usually use a sheet or some sort of cover when outdoors, not because the bed can’t handle it, but to make cleaning easier once we get back home. Who else does the same with thier Diggs bed outdoors?

MemberIt made me wonder if better sleep could actually help dogs digest their food more efficiently. Has anyone else noticed this too with the Vibrant Life beds? It’d be interesting to see if there’s a study on this or something…
But hey, even if upgrading the bed doesn’t improve your doggo’s eating habits directly, at least they’ll be getting a good night’s snooze. After all, don’t we all feel more peckish when we’re well-rested?
On an alternate note, anybody using memory foam beds for your pooch? Heard those might be even better! Wouldn’t mind splurging a little for my good boy Droopy 😁

MemberNo experience with the Deep Dish model here tho, Rufus likes his space too much. For dogs that love to snuggle tho (pointer mix, wrking cocker spaniels etc.), seems like that could definiteley be worth a shot. How’s the stuffing holding up for those who’ve tried it?
Looking at alternatives though, have any of you tried FurHaven’s Plush & Suede Sofa? Rated quite well from what I’ve seen around and might not be as hard on the wallet. Cheers!

MemberAs for over-worrying, trust me, been there done that! Just remember you’re doing great as long as your pooch is happy and comfortable. Also, for the funky smell, try sprinkling some baking soda on the bed before vacuuming it, really helps neutralize odors. Hope this helps! Oh and does anyone else’s Reddy bed stuffing get all clumpy after washing? Could use some advise here.

MemberI completely get the side-eye reaction, haha! Our Rottweiler, Max did the same when we first brought home his Kirkland bed. annd talk about size — this thing wouldn’t even fit in the back of our SUV! Took Max a week or so to finally call it his own. I think he was maybe jsut taking his sweet time adjudsting to how fancy it was, compared to his old one.
Has anyone else’s dog needed some adjustment time too? Or is it just our picky boys over here being divas? 😅 Also, any tips on making the transition smoother would be appreciated!

MemberI gotta agree with some of ya here about the Frenchie issue though. Our little guy has been more of a bed muncher than Benny ever was! I ended up trading out the Squishmallow after he managed to rip through one corner. Now we’re team Kong bed here.
Still, for non-destructive pups? Can’t go wrong with a Squishmallow. Super cushy and comfy for their snoozes. But for those doggos with strong gnaw-tendencies you’re better off looking elswhere. Any others who’s had similar experiences or different takes?

MemberJust from personal experience with my 2 Labradors who think every bed is just a super large chew toy – this bed has held up like a champ! They haven’t been able to poke holes in it or tear it apart at all. As someone who’s had dogs for the better part of two decades now, I can’t recommend the kuranda enough – especially for those “chew-happy” pups out there.
And hey, if anyone’s struggling too much with the assembly, just keep at it or maybe hit up YouTube. There’s usually some pretty good guidance floating around there. Would ya agree? Or have any other products you’d suggest for heavy chewers? 🤔

MemberHas anyone here had any experience with the bed getting chewed up? My Copper, an enthusiastic Golden Retriever, has been known to mistake his bed for a giant chew toy on occasion…oopsie! Does the Pelsbarn hold up to the occasional gnawing, especially from bigger breeds? Also curious about how easy it is to clean, ’cause let me tell ya, Copper sometimes gets pretty muddy in our afternoon playtime seshs.
Be keen to hear your thoughts and advice on this one. Cheers!

MemberAnd the cherry on top—I spray down her bed with an enzyme-based cleaner after vacuuming, and leave it to air out. Solved my issues with keeping it fresh & clean!
Anyway, anyone else use other methods for cleaning? Would love to hear about it! Isn’t it amazing how much our furry buddies love these beds? Wish I could fit in one haha! 🐾

MemberClassic ‘Don’t judge a book by its cover’ situation here, I guess? Anyone else had similar experiences with ‘gimmicky’ pet products that turned out to be pretty legit?
05/04/2025 at 3:05 PM in reply to: “Feeding Your Pet from a Yeti Dog Bed: Mixing Comfort and Nutrition” #3717breezy-furbuddy-7071
MemberSo maybe stick to dry treats on the bed as an alternative? What’s everyone’s take on this or has anyone had differnet experiences with settling their doggos for meal times?
breezy-furbuddy-7071
MemberIt isn’t just the design of it, which by the way is pretty swanky (Benny has the herringbone one), it’s also about how sturdy and comfortable it is. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve found my son trying to use it cause Benny won’t give it up! 😂
However, a few points to note: 1) the price tag is somewhat steep – definitely more than I’d ordinarily shell out for a dog bed and 2) washing and care can be a bit tricky. The cover isn’’t machine washable as far as I can tell, though I could be wrong here – anyone else knows better?
But overall given how much Benny loves it, these Snoozers get a thumbs up in my book. Any of you had similar experiences or alternatives that are easier on the pocket?
