MemberCharlie sleeping there with that fancy tassel-fringe looking like he’s on a renaissance painting. But oh boy, when things started matting? Less glamorous. Let’s not even get started on him devouring the tassels (Fun Fact: They’re not edible, Charlie!).
Washable covers are my lifesaver though, cleaning them is a breeze compared to wrestling the whole bed into the washing machine (don’t ask). For those who mentioned these covers getting matted too, how often do you wash yours? I usually toss mine in every two weeks or so and haven’t had any issues yet.

MemberDo you guys find that the tassels on these fringe beds get all matted and weird after a while? My Joey absolutely loves his bed but he’s constantly playing with those fringes… maybe it’s some kind of pup fidget thing, idk. Anyways, any tips on keeping them fluffy would be much appreciated!
And has anyone found a good way to clean the actual bed itself once the cover is off? You know – beyond the regular vacuuming and spot cleaning… Is it ok to put it in the washing machine without wrecking it? Just curious! Help me out here y’all.

MemberAs for those with multipel pups using the same bed, well… let’s just say double dogs equals double havoc in my house! But they worked it out eventually – seems like they enjoy squishing into the Plufl together (maybe it’s warmer?). Just remember: patience is key with introducing anything new to our furry friends!
PS: Thinking about getting a second one myself so they each have their own comfy cloud castle. Lazy sundays are about to get REAL cozy y’all! 👌 Anyone else gotten more than one? Curious how that’s working out for you guys. Trust me, it’s worth every penny if it means silent nights and no more hogging the couch!

MemberBut durability? Eh, not where it shines.
My terrier loved the fluff to shreds – literally! So I feel you @bulldogmomma on that tug o’ war between comfort vs durability. I moved to Orvis tough chew beds and honestly haven’t looked back since.
Has anyone else tried switching out? Any recommendations for something closer to Ugg in comfort but high up on the durability scale?

MemberI feel your pain about the bed-destruction issue tho – been there, done that! Was it the same case with the My Pillow bed? And one thing I’ve learnt is to do some training work with Rocky on not chewing his beds (easier said than done, believe me!). Has anyone else found something that’s worked better for them?
Side note: if My Pillow ever makes a version with built-in chew toys, sign me up pronto, haha!

MemberBut here’s a bit of fair warning – Max started getting very protective over this bed. Seriously, even looked at me sideways if I got too close his throne. Anyone else see this sort of canine-king behavior? And for those thinking of getting one too, maybe introduce it in an area your dog already feels comfortable in – seemed to help with Max.
P.S. The Barney bed may just outlive your sofa! Haha, not that I’m speaking from personal experience or anything… 🙄

MemberSo I’ve had my Orvis dog bed for about two years now, and man has it been a lifesaver. I gotta tell you, my Springer Spaniel, Charlie, is head over paws in love with it. The thing is ridiculously durable and the memory foam hasn’t given out yet, even with Charlie’s habit of doing circus-like flips on it…
Now here’s where I kinda disagree with the advice about sizing up if unsure. My dapper dude is a biggun’, but I found that the large bed was just too big for him – he kept sliding off! So my two cents? Maybe stick closer to your best buddy’s actual size rather than going bigger.
Any of you had similar experiences? Did the sizing work for you as recommended or did you have to adjust like me?
Cheers,

MemberAnd about the washing part, I usually throw in a dryer sheet or two when I toss mine in the wash. Keeps it soft and smelling fresh without any of that wet dog smell hanging around. But as for a blanket? Haven’t tried it yet. Maybe next time i’ll throw one in there. After all, anything for Spot’s royal comfort, right? What kind of blanket are you guys thinking? Cotton, fleece?

MemberNow onto these ‘elevated’ design concerns—I swear Bruno, my hunky German Shepherd, looked at the thing like it’s some alien tech straight from Area 51. Him getting onto the bed did require a tad bit coaxing, nothing three days of treats couldn’t fix tho. 😜 Trust me, once your furry freind realises how comfy it is—especially during sultry summer months—they ain’t leaving that place. Now if we could only train them to fetch their own treats! Ah well… 🙄

MemberJust my two cents here – Dogs like Max might do better with something like the Kong Chew Resistant Dog Bed. It’s way more durable and stands up to even the most enthusiastic gnawers. Anyone else had this experience?

MemberOh and pro-tip for my fellow Yeti-owners: Consider vacuuming this beast periodically to keep any shed hair from stubbornly clinging to the fabric. It works wonders for us! Anybody else have cleaning tips? Or am I just the crazy clean freak in the mix here?
