MemberI’ve been feeding my golden retriever, Charlie, Blue Buffalo for a couple of years now. Can’t praise it enough. He absolutely loves the taste – I swear, the moment he hears the bag crinkle, he comes bounding over! I’ve noticed his coat is shinier and he seems to have more energy these days.
That said, it’s a step up in price from some other brands. But considering it’s made with natural ingredients and no weird additives, I feel like it’s worth every cent for Charlie’s health. It also has life source bits that are full of antioxidants and vitamins, so you know your pup is getting all the good stuff they need.
The only downside (if you can even call it that) is the smell – let’s just say it won’t be winning any gourmet awards from us humans! 😂
In summary, I’m sticking with Blue Buffalo. The change in Charlie’s health & happiness makes it all worthwhile. Give it a shot – your dog might love it as much as mine does!
Cheers!

MemberI’ve got to say, I’m really impressed with the quality of this food. Barkley’s coat has become much shinier and fuller than before, which was a pleasant surprise beyond the digestive benefits we were seeking. He also devours each meal like he hasn’t eaten in weeks – apparently loves the taste!
The ingredients list is also pleasing. It seems they focus on using whole, natural stuff rather than by-products or fillers. The primary ingredient is usually a real quality meat which is something that works for Barkley’s stomach.
That said, it’s not exactly cheap—but then again, quality rarely is. I think the health benefits are totally worth the cost. Plus, a happy, healthy pup hogging the couch each night? Priceless!
In general, I’d highly recommend giving Badlands Ranch a try if you’re considering switching foods – especially if your pooch has any sort of digestive issues. Remember though, not all dogs are alike so it’s always best to consult with your vet first.
Hope this review helps! 🐾

MemberOne thing I particularly like is the ingredient list. It’s straightforward without too much of that “mystery meat” stuff you sometimes see in other brands. Plus, Bella’s coat has never been shinier, and her energy is through the roof! However, just like any dog food, it’s best to gradually introduce this into your dog’s diet to keep their stomach from getting upset.
Still, the price point is super wallet-friendly which comes in handy if you’re budgeting like me (who isn’t these days!). But it does have plenty of corn and grain fillers, so if your pup has any grain sensitivities, that might be a consideration.
I reckon you should give Kal Kan a try – Bella sure gives it a paw’s up! Remember to keep an eye on your doggo for any reactions or changes. Every pooch responds differently to new diets.
All the best with your decision, mate!brave-bulldog-3378
MemberI gotta tell you, Muffin went head over tail for it! The bag actually lists real vegetables, like carrots and peas right there at the top loaded with omega-rich fish oils – not something you see every day in kibble land! But the real proof? Muffin devoured her bowl in seconds. 🐕🦺
The only downer is the cost, a little on the pricier side, but if it means feeding her healthier food that she enjoys too, then I reckon we might stick with it. Anyone else given ‘Wholesome Bites’ a shot? Would love to hear your experiences too!

MemberJust thought I’d chime in about my experience with Taste of the Wild’s High Prairie recipe, as my golden retriever has been on it for a solid year now. He seems to really enjoy meal times – always eating with an enthusiasm I don’t often see in him with other brands. Plus, I am personally quite pleased with the ingredients list. Tons of lean meats like buffalo and bison, sweet potatoes, peas, and also some fruits – sounds balanced and nutritious.
Now don’t get me wrong, it’s not exactly wallet-friendly compared to some other brands but the way I see it – better food means less vet bills down the line. It feels good knowing I’m feeding my fur-baby high-quality stuff that’s grain-free and filled with stuff good for his overall health.
Do make sure though – as is important when switching any dog food – to slowly introduce it into your pup’s diet since going cold turkey might upset their stomachs. Each dog is different but mine adjusted well to Taste of The Wild! Cheers!

MemberJust as a heads up though, it did take his stomach a few days to adjust to the new diet. Had some digestion issues initially but got back to normal once he adjusted to the change. So if you’re thinking of trying Freshpet out with your pooch, maybe mix it with their old food in the beginning until they get fully used to it.
And let’s face it, this stuff doesn’t come cheap but seeing Max wolf down his bowl and looking more lively, I’d say it’s well worth the price tag. Definitely recommend giving Freshpet a shot if you’re considering it!
