MemberThe ingredients list is reassuringly straightforward – you can tell it’s all quality stuff with nothing sketchy added in. I love that they’re committed to ethically sourced animal proteins too. It may be a tad more expensive than your typical supermarket dog food, but I think it’s worth it for the difference I’ve seen in my boy’s health and energy levels.
One thing to bear in mind is your pup might need some time to adjust to the new stuff. Mine took about a week or two before he was fully comfortable with the new food routine. So if at first they hesitate, just don’t get disheartened too quickly!
So yeah, two paws up from us for Open Farm! Check it out for your furry friend and see if it makes as much of a positive impact as it did for us. Best of luck!

MemberOne downside is that it’s a bit more on the pricey side compared to other brands out there. But in my book, the health benefits totally justify the cost. Also, quick heads up – try buying it online from Chewy or Amazon…they usually have pretty good discounts running!
So if your pooch has sensitivity issues like Rusty, I’d definitely recommend giving this brand a try!
10/15/2024 at 4:38 PM in reply to: Just Submitted My Evangers Dog Food Review – Here’s What Happened #2694brave-bulldog-3378
MemberWhat I appreciate most is their attention to quality ingredients and nutrition balance, you know? No wheat, corn or soy – which is a big tick in my book since that’s where many food allergies come from. Add that it’s also free of artificial colors and preservatives, you’re feeding your furry friends something healthy.
The only downside might be the price; it’s a bit on the expensive side compared to other brands but you gotta weigh that against all those benefits.
Overall, I’d rate Evanger’s a solid 9/10. It’s worth every penny if you ask me. But obviously, each dog has unique dietary needs so what works for mine might not work for yours! Always best to check with your vet and see what they think. Here’s hoping your pups enjoy it as much as mine do!

MemberI gotta admit, I was a bit hesitant at first because of the higher cost compared to the regular stuff I’ve been getting at the grocery store. But after doing some research on it, yeah, it’s worth it you guys. It’s real food, not just those dry kibbles we’re used to. You know how we feel after a good, wholesome meal? Dogs aren’t any different.
Ever since making the switch, I’ve seen significant changes in both my fur babies – coats are glossier than ever and energy levels are off the charts! Does anyone else wake up to vigorous tail-wagging instead of groggy puppies these days?
And oh boy, they devour their Maev bowls like they’re going out of style. The French Bulldog – he’s always been picky with his food but no longer! And friends, that’s straight-up truth right there…not sponsored at all, ha!
For me, it’s not just about buying expensive food. It’s investing in their health long-term which likely saves you more down the road with fewer vet bills & medication costs.
Do give Maev a shot if you haven’t already!
I’m off to another fun-filled day at the park with my energized pups. It’s wonderful to see them enjoying life as they should be.brave-bulldog-3378
MemberMind you, AvoDerm is pricier than some other brands but for us, the benefits are totally worth it. Worth trying a small bag first to see how your pooch responds, then make a decision from there. Paws up from us! 🐾

MemberSo, I switched my Rottweiler, Max, onto Diamond Naturals about six months ago. Overall, it seems to have been a pretty solid choice. Max’s coat has never looked better – seriously shiny and healthy-looking. He also seems to have a bit more energy.
One of the main reasons I made the switch was for the natural ingredients. No fillers, artificial colors or preservatives – that sort of thing is important to me.
I will say though, the transition wasn’t perfectly smooth – he had some minor digestive issues at first. But from what I’ve gathered online it’s kinda common when you change up a dog’s diet significantly. We stuck with it and after about 2 weeks, all was smooth sailing again (with improved poops as a bonus!). The protein content is good too which is great for Max being such a large breed.
Price wise, it’s moderate. Not exactly cheap but not insanely expensive either. Quality-wise though, it feels like it’s worth every penny. And in terms of availability, I’ve found it pretty easily both online and in our local pet stores.
In conclusion – thumbs ups for Diamond Naturals from us. Give it a few weeks if you’re transitioning over and just keep an eye on their poos (glamorous part of pet ownership right?) and make sure they’re adjusting well!
Has anyone else had similar experiences? Anyone go another route? Would love to hear your opinions.
10/02/2024 at 2:35 AM in reply to: “Whole Earth Farms Dog Food Review – The Boom or Bust for My Dog’s Diet?” #2675brave-bulldog-3378
MemberShe seems to enjoy the flavors variety too–currently we’re on the pork, beef & lamb mix. Plus side – her coat has become noticeably shinier since the switch, energy levels up too! The only caveat is that it’s slightly pricey compared to other brands but knowing she’s getting good nutrients makes it worth it for me.
In a nutshell, I reckon if you can splurge a little on your fur-friend’s diet, Whole Earth Farms is a solid choice. But remember,**every dog is unique** and might react differently to new foods. Always wise to transition gradually and keep an eye out for any changes in behavior or digestion. Hope this helps!
09/05/2024 at 1:20 AM in reply to: My Fresh Perspective on 4health Dog Food: A Comprehensive Review #2241brave-bulldog-3378
MemberI’ve been using 4health dog food for my two Labs for over a year now and they seem to love it. Haven’t noticed any issues with their digestion or energy levels – in fact, they look healthier than ever!
On the plus side, I really appreciate that it’s grain-free since one of my dogs is allergic to grain. The primary ingredients are meats and veggies. No weird fillers or artificial stuff either.
On the downside, while the price point isn’t sky high, there are cheaper options out there. But personally, I think the quality justifies the price.
Remember though, every dog is different and what works great for mine may not work as well for yours! Always best to consult with your vet about dietary changes just to be safe.
Happy dog parenting!

MemberNow to be fair, Lucy’s never really been picky about her food but since switching to Acana, we noticed some great changes. Her coat has been shinier than ever and she seems more energetic during our daily walks.
Another upside is that Acana uses some pretty top-notch ingredients. It always feels good knowing I’m putting nutritious food into her bowl.
Of course, it might seem a bit pricy — I mean it’s definitely not the cheapest on the shelf— but in my opinion, it’s totally worth it. Quality costs a bit more, but in the long run, you end up saving on vet bills because your pup is well-nourished with fewer health issues.
Every dog is different though, so what works amazingly for Lucy may not work as well for your furry friend. But give it a shot; maybe your four-legged companion will love it as much as mine does! Good luck with your decision!

MemberMy pup’s been on Member’s Mark food for a little while now. Just thought I’d share my thoughts here in case anyone else was considering it!
Won’t lie, I switched over from a pricier brand because the cost was doing a number on my wallet. At first, I was skeptical about the quality difference due to the price point but after a couple of bags my mind is at ease. Checkmate, budget cuts!
Ingredients look solid to me too; no funky fillers or whatever. Just real meat as their first ingredient – which means more proteins and fewer grains! My vet gave it a nod of approval and let’s be real, that’s the seal of approval that matters.
Plus, my dog seems to enjoy it quite well, his coat is looking shinier than ever (do we think he knows how handsome he is?). His stool is normal and energy levels up high, giving those squirrels in the backyard a run for their nuts!
One bummer thogh would be the kibble size— it’s pretty standard – might not be suitable for pint-sized dogs or seniors with dental issues. So you wanna make sure to think about your doggo’s specifics before making the switch.
Overall, if your vet approves it and your dog likes it – why not give this guy a shot? It certainly lightens up the load on our pockets without compromising on nutrition.
Keep those tails wagging,
Your fellow fur-parentbrave-bulldog-3378
MemberI’ve been feeding my lab, Max, Nutra Nuggets for the last 6 months or so. Now I’ll be honest here, I started only because it was a bit cheaper than our usual brand. But surprisingly, Max seems to love it just as much. He’s even putting on some healthy weight (he was looking a bit lean before).
The Nutra Nuggets packaging says it’s got a balanced mix of protein, carbs and fats which is pretty essential I think. And it’s not loaded with fillers and by-products which is always a plus.
The thing about kibble though is, at least in my experience, what works great for one dog might not work as well for another. My friend tried Nutra Nuggets on her spaniel but he ended up with an upset stomach. So just something to keep in mind.
All that said, if you’re considering switching brands or trying out a new one, maybe give Nutra Nuggets a go! Just start off slow to see how your fur buddy reacts to it!
Has anyone else had any good/bad experiences with this brand? Always interested to hear what the rest of the dog-loving community thinks!
Cheers,
George

MemberThe ingredient list on Nutro products is pretty straightforward, lots of good stuff like high-quality protein, veggies, and fruits. Plus no nasty artificial colours or preservatives. Bella particularly enjoys the lamb & sweet potato flavor!
Only downside? The price can be a bit steep compared to other brands but honestly, seeing Bella healthy and active makes it worth every penny.
Remember, switching dog foods should always be done gradually to avoid upsetting your pup’s stomach. Anyways, hope this helps anyone on the fence about trying Nutro!

MemberOne thing to keep in mind – this brand falls on the pricier side compared to some other kibbles out there. But honestly, I think the boost in nutrition and how much Bella likes it justifies the added cost.
I’d recommend trying a smaller bag first or getting one of those variety packs to see what flavors your furbaby prefers. Keep me posted on how it goes if you decide to give it a shot! 🐾

MemberI’ve been feeding my Golden Retriever, Bella, Beneful for about a year now after a long period of trial and error with other brands. I have to say, she seems to really enjoy it! Her coat’s looking glossier and she definitely appears more active.
We tried the Salmon flavor first and she liked it but the real hit has been the Beef flavor. She gobbles that stuff up like there’s no tomorrow! As for her digestion, things seem pretty good on that front too – no unusual business happening over there (if you get what I mean).
One thing I will mention thogh is the grain content. It might not suit all dogs, especially those with a sensitive stomach or allergies towards certain grains. My buddy’s Lab had some issues with it initially.
So in a nutshell, Beneful has worked great for Bella, but every dog is different. Just keep an eye on their reactions when you switch foods, and maybe give your vet a ring if you notice anything out of the ordinary!
Just sharing from personal experience here. Wishing everyone happy days with their fur kiddos!
