MemberIt does fall on the pricier side of dog food, but y’know, it’s worth the price for me to know I’m giving him quality kibble. As far as taste goes, Buddy seems to love it! Check if your local pet store furnishes samples if you’re worried about picky eating. And remember to transition slowly over 7-10 days if you do make a switch!

MemberI’d say the ingredients list is pretty impressive too, lots of protein and grain-free options if your pup prefers that. Although it’s not the top-tier gourmet stuff some brands offer, for its price range Beneful does quite well indeed. Particularly love the variety; they have options from weight control to puppy chow to meals specific for small or large breeds – talk about tailoring food to dogs’ needs!
Of course, each dog’s different so it may not be a hit with everyone. But based on our experience, it’s worth trying out Beneful if you’re looking for a balance between cost and quality. Hope this helps in making a decision!

MemberAbsolutely, I’d be more than happy to weigh in on Pawstruck dog food! I’ve been using it for my golden retriever, Toby, and both of us couldn’t be happier. One thing to note – Toby has always been a bit of a picky eater.
With Pawstruck, he never leaves leftover kibble in his bowl anymore. Plus, it’s grain-free, which is fantastic as Toby displays signs of grain intolerance. I feel like Toby’s coat has improved too – it’s much shinier now!
As for cost, it’s a tad pricier than brands you might find at the supermarket but overall, I think the nutritional benefits justify the price point. Plus, they often offer discounts if you subscribe or buy in bulk!
Remember though, every dog will have its own preferences and dietary needs so there’s no one-size-fits-all solution for dog food. You might want to get a small trial bag first to see how your fur baby gets on with it before you invest in a big sack. Happy feeding! 🐾

MemberI’ve been using BIXBI dog food for my Golden Retriever, Cooper, for about 6 months now. I can confidently say that there’s a noticeable change in his energy levels and overall health.
First, the ingredients are superb. It isn’t packed with grains and fillers like some brands out there – it’s really just pure meat and veggies which is exactly what I want to be feeding my pup. Cooper has a sensitive stomach so the absence of corn, soy or wheat was vital.
Secondly, Coop seems to absolutely love the taste! He’s always been sort of picky eater but with BIXBI, meal times have become less chaotic (trust me, that’s a win). Plus, they offer a pretty good variety in flavors too – chicken, beef, lamb.
Regarding costs – yes, it is slightly pricier than your run-of-the-mill dog food brands but in my opinion, totally worth it for the peace of mind and for Cooper’s health. Each bag lasts us about a month.
One downside though – their availability tends to be inconsistent at local pet stores in my area so I’ve turned to buying it online instead.
Overall though,—hugely satisfied customer over here. Simply put – BIXBI = Happy pup!
Hope this helps!
Cheers,

MemberBut I’m of the opinion that good nutrition is key to keeping our furry friends healthy and happy, so don’t mind forking over an extra few bucks, especially if it’s something Lola approves of (which doesn’t happen often haha!)
Are you thinking of switching brands, or just testing out new options? Always curious to hear what other dog owners are trying out for their pampered pups!
02/03/2025 at 11:50 PM in reply to: Looking for Solid Gold Dog Food Reviews? Here’s My Experience! #3310brave-bulldog-3378
MemberI’ve been using Solid Gold dog food for a couple of months now, so I thought I’d weigh in with my two cents. First off, my Golden Retriever, Bella, absolutely loves it! She was having some digestive issues with her previous food but ever since we switched to Solid Gold, no more problems.
In terms of nutrition, I’m impressed that they use real meat as the first ingredient and it’s grain-free as well. Really helps keep Bella’s weight in check. The inclusion of superfoods like blueberries and almond oil is a real selling point for me too.
The only downside would be the price point – it’s a bit on the steep side compared to other brands. But ultimately, I believe health is wealth and if it means shelling out a few extra bucks for Bella’s well-being then yes, count me in!
Hope this helps you out if you’re considering swapping over to Solid Gold. Do keep us posted on what you decide. Good luck!

MemberOverall, he seems to really enjoy the taste (he’s never left any in his bowl!). He’s got a shiny coat, healthy weight, and plenty of energy.
They do say that every dog is different though. Some may tolerate certain brands better than others. In my opinion, the ingredients are pretty solid – no fillers or disturbing additives from what I’ve noticed. It’s got a good balance of protein, fat and fiber.
The price might be a bit more expensive than your average kibble but seems worth it considering the quality.
Hoping this helps! Let me know if you have any questions! Give that pup of yours some belly rubs from me and Marley!
01/16/2025 at 4:39 AM in reply to: Putting Trust in Greenies Dog Food: Reviews and Personal Experience #3232brave-bulldog-3378
MemberHands down, my pup Jasper is pretty addicted to Greenies! They’ve been a part of his diet for almost two years now. And let me tell you, his dental health has improved drastically. Our vet was pleasantly surprised at the last checkup!
The only downside I see is that they’re a bit pricey in comparison to other dog treats. But considering the added benefits it delivers to Jasper’s overall health, and how much he enjoys them, I think they’re worth the price.
Here’s a pro tip though – If you find they’re a bit too tough for your furry friend’s liking or if you have an older dog, try microwaving them for about 10-15 seconds. Softens them right up! Make sure they cool down before letting your pooch dig in though.
Cheers!
12/24/2024 at 2:04 PM in reply to: “Black Gold Dog Food Review: A Dog Owner’s Honest Opinion!” #2424brave-bulldog-3378
MemberYep, I’ve been using Black Gold for my two labs for a good few months now and lemme tell ya, it’s a godsend. Their coats have never looked better! And talk about energy – they’re practically bouncing off the walls during our daily walks (in a good way, haha).
Plus, it’s always a great sign when they wag their tails off every time I fill up their bowls. They juts can’t get enough of this stuff! And honestly, I’m all for it. Compared to other dog foods out there which are overloaded with fillers or ones that you need to take out a loan just to afford, Black Gold hits the sweet spot between quality and price.
The only downside? It’s not always easy to find in local supermarkets around my area. But hey, that’s what online shopping is for, right?
Would definitely recommend giving it a shot if you’re on the hunt for wholesome food for your furry friends. Your pups are gonna love you even more—I promise!
Cheers!

MemberRecently switched my Labrador, Max, over to Nutrish dog food and thought I’d share our experience. Talk about a game-changer! Max has always been one of the pickier eaters, given that he has a sensitive stomach. We tried several brands but had no luck– until we found Nutrish. The brand offers such a diversity of flavors; Max’s favorite seems to be the Real Beef & Brown Rice Recipe.
The best part about Nutrish, apart from its pooch-approved taste, is the ingredient list. It’s super clean – no artificial flavors or preservatives. It contains real U.S. farm-raised beef (it’s literally the first ingredient!). Also, there are wholesome fibres like brown rice and beet pulp which are great for digestion.
Since making the switch to Nutrish, Max’s coat has gotten so much shinier and he’s full of energy during our daily walks. An added bonus – his tummy issues have significantly improved!
Do check if your pup has any allergies before starting Nutrish, mine did juts fine with it but better to be safe than sorry. And if anyone else’s fur babies are on Nutrish, I’d love to hear about your experiences too!
Happy Feeding!

Memberjuts saw your post about Nulo dog food. I’ve actually been using Nulo for my golden retriever, Bailey, for the past year or so. We tried quite a few brands at first because Bailey had some stomach issues, but everything seemed greasy until we stumbled upon Nulo.
Glass half full – the brand’s pretty solid from what I’ve experienced. High protein content, low carb ingredients which is great for maintaining Bailey’s weight and muscles. They have this grain-free line that worked wonders for his often sensitive tummy. Frankly, he inferred that chicken and sweet potato flavor into his super favorites list!
Glass half empty – it’s a bit pricy as compared to other mainstream brands. Yet, watching Bailey enjoy his meals without any digestion problems makes it worth every penny.
Of course, results can vary from dog to dog. You know how they say “one man’s meat is another man’s poison”. Always best to consult with your vet before making a switch though, they will guide you based on your pooch’s specific nutritional needs.
Anyway, hope this helps and fingers crossed that you find the perfect match for your furry friend because we all know the struggle is real!

MemberOne thing to keep in mind is the transition period – take it slow, mix the new food with the old one gradually. Begin with 25-30% of WAG, then increase the ratio over a week or so to avoid unnecessary tummy upsets, ya know?
Downside? It’s a bit pricier than some “supermarket” brands. But hey, you get what you pay for – annd Max seems to love the taste of it. ‘Lamb and lentil’ flavor is his favorite as of now!
Check if your furball has any specific dietary needs though and always double-check with your vet before making such changes! Every pup is different after all! 🐶🦴

MemberServing undercooked pork could expose your pooch to parasites like trichinella. This can lead to pain, vomiting, and other nasty symptoms. So when we’re talking about pork – forget rare or even medium-rare. We’re going for well-done every single time.
Pork bones are also a big ‘uh-oh’. They can splinter and cause serious damage to your dog’s digestive tract, so always keep those far away from those wagging tails.
Keep an eye on processed pork products as well. These usually contain high levels of salt and additives that aren’t good for dogs. Think ham, bacon…those Sunday morning fry-up favourites!
So long story short? Yes, but be smart about it and moderation is key! Keep that in mind and you’ll have a happy and healthy pupper on your hands.
brave-bulldog-3378
MemberHowever, let me warn you that switching over to a new brand of dog food might cause a few digestion issues in the beginning. Rusty faced some upset stomach troubles during the first week, but he was back to himself by the end of the second week. Fair warning though, every dog is different.
Also, they deliver straight to your doorstep which is super convenient. The price might seem a bit steep compared to other brands but considering the quality ingredients they use – no fillers or artificial stuff – annd the home delivery service, I’d say it’s worth it.
From experience, I’d recommend gradually mixing in TLC with your dog’s current food over a week or two which makes the transition easier for them. Hope this helps!
brave-bulldog-3378
MemberMy pup is also quite picky with food but she absolutely loves this stuff – maybe it’s because it’s raw freeze-dried and she finds it tasty? I know some feel a bit iffy about raw food, but honestly, VE ensures their food is safe and I’ve not had any issues. Fair warning though, it’s pricier than your average kibble but IMO, totally worth it.
Also, I recommend you switch over gradually if you do decide to go for VE. Changing foods drastically can upset their tummies, so maybe mix in a little to start with and then increase over time.
Anyway, that’s just my two cents! Good luck finding what works best for your furry family member!
