Absolutely adore Applaws myself! Swapped over for my Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Bella, about six months ago and she’s been doing great on it. The small kibble size is perfect for her and the ingredients list seems more wholesome than our previous brand. We’ve seen a noticeable difference in her energy levels too. We do find it a bit pricey though, especially when feeding a bigger dog like Bella – anyone else noticed this or got any tips for making it last longer?

I’ve got quite the Applaws tale, myself. Have 2 Shih Tzu’s, Lola and Lulu, who seemed to genuinely enjoy Applaws dry food initially. But over time, I noticed they were becoming sort of…lackluster about mealtime? To regain excitement, I began to sprinkle some freeze-dried raw food toppings on their meals- quite the game changer! ‘Stella & Chewy’s Meal Mixers’ comes in various flavours and sizes to suit any furkid’s palate and to boot, it’s grain-free which is an added bonus for dogs with allergies or sensitivities. So if anyone sees their pooch losing interest in the same-old, might I suggest shaking it up with a lil’ something on top?

Ha, reading all your stories is like seeing my own experiences! Freddy, my Dachshund, had a tough time with his diet before we switched to Applaws. He’s not a big guy but let me tell you, he can be picky!

I’ve found that investing in the higher quality ingredients of Applaws dry dog food like chicken and duck was well worth it over cheaper choices. Freddy picked up on the difference right away and became less finicky during meal times.

Price-wise, I won’t lie, it is a bit more expensive but honestly for the changes I’ve seen in Freddy’s overall wellness and happiness, it’s been absolutely worth every penny. But do make sure to transition slowly if you’re thinking about the switch and observe your dog’s reaction closely. If anything seems off, always better to consult with your vet.
Just wondering if anyone else’s pets took to certain flavor immediately or were they all gradual love affairs like Freddy’s?
