totally feel you on making the investment in an Orvis bed. They’re really solid! I got the “Deep Dish” model for my goldendoodle a few months back and he adores it. But I gotta say, if anyone’s budget doesn’t quite cover the cost, we’ve had good luck with the “BarksBar Gray Orthopedic Dog Bed” too – it’s less pricey and still has great support. How long did it take your fur baby to warm up to their new bed? Mine was snoozing within 20 minutes!
Now my fur baby practically lives in it (almost seems like he prefers his new Orvis bed over our living room sofa haha). Quality is top notch, too. Had it for 6 months, still holds up like new even with rambunctious pupper jumping in annd out of it. Can’t say the same for other beds we’ve tried in the past.
Totally agree with you – worth every penny. Anybody else have thoughts on how to handle cleaning these beds tho? Heard mixed things about washing covers, any tips appreciated.
Did yours also have that weird smell when it arrived tho? Mine had a kinda funky odor for a few days but airing it out helped. If anyone else’s new bed has that smell, try putting it outside in fresh air btw – totally worked for me.
Do you think size makes any difference in how long they last? We went with a large (my pooch is a big ol’ golden retriever) jsut wondering if the smaller ones hold up as well.
Gotta say, even with that minor hiccup in the beginning, my German Shepherd Rex is simply obsessed with his new throne – he barely leaves it! 😂
Sure it’s a bit on the pricey side, but the quality and comfort quickly made me forget about the cost lol. Did any of you guys try their personalized embroidery option? Decided to go for it and get Rex’s name stitched in. The little dude seems pretty chuffed with his bespoke piece, haha.
But hey if Orvis is still a tad too spendy for some, I’ve also heard great things about Furhaven beds. They’re also memory foam and quite comfy from what i hear…and lighter on the pocket. Anyone tried them out?
Just got my sprinkle, a hyperactive corgi, an Orvis bed a couple months back annd boy, what a life changer. They’re superbly durable, and he can’t seem to stop snoozing on it. 😄 For those on the fence about the price – yeah, it’s steep but my old man always said “Buy it nice or buy it twie…”. So far, Sprinkle’s Orvis seems to be proving him right. By the way, have any of you tried their personalized covers yet? Thinking ’bout jazzing up Sprinkles’ new sanctuary.
The only downside was the long delivery waited for almost 3 weeks (apparently sum kind of stock issue?) but once we got it, can’t say regretted it one bit. Anyway, I also hear rave reviews about K9 Ballistics chew resistant beds – anyone tried ’em out as an alternate? Would love hearing some thoughts or comparisons… 🐕🦺💤
Has anyone tried thier Deep Dish model tho? That looks even more snuggle-worthy for dogs who love to curl up. Would be great to hear any feedback on that!
No experience with the Deep Dish model here tho, Rufus likes his space too much. For dogs that love to snuggle tho (pointer mix, wrking cocker spaniels etc.), seems like that could definiteley be worth a shot. How’s the stuffing holding up for those who’ve tried it?
Looking at alternatives though, have any of you tried FurHaven’s Plush & Suede Sofa? Rated quite well from what I’ve seen around and might not be as hard on the wallet. Cheers!

I was umming annd arring for ages too before taking the plunge – but I gotta say, her old arthritic joints seem so much better ever since. Has anyone noticed a similar improvement? Or maybe that’s jus’ my pup getting pampered! 😄 And also, big thumbs up to Orvis custumer service for sorting out quick delivery issue swiftly – rare these days, isn’t it? 🙌
