ParticipantHaving been a pet parent for over two decades, I certainly have seen my share of treats come and go. Pet Pride dog treats stand the test of time though. One thing I truly appreciate about these treats is their size – they’re jsut right for training sessions with my Labrador, Molly. More importantly, she seems to love the taste without any tummy upsets afterwards. One tip though, always remember to seal the package tightly after opening. It really helps maintain that crunchy texture dogs seem to adore! Although I must say, it’s rather impressive how these treats remain affordable without compromising on quality or taste. Has anyone else used these treats during obedience training? How was your experience?

ParticipantI have to chime in here because Pet Pride treats are a bit hit and miss in my opinion. My old man Scooter, the Langshire Terrier, loves them – can’t get enough of ’em. On the other hand, my younger pup Bella completely ignores them, no matter how enticing I try to make them seem. So, for those trying these out for the first time, it might be worth picking up a smaller packet before investing in a jumbo-sized bag. Different dogs definitely have different tastes and preferences! Has anyone else bought these treats and noticed their dogs being picky about them?

ParticipantI gotta jump on the bandwagon here. I have a four year old Golden named Daisy and she’s kinda fussy with her treats. Tried Pet Pride becuase hey, the price is fantastic…and we all know those treat costs can add up! Daisy wasn’t really enthusiastic about them though. And they also seemed a bit hard for her to chew. I think these might be better suited for dogs that enjoy a tougher chew or are perhaps a tad less picky than my sweet girl. They do seem pretty durable, but Daisy typically prefers something a little softer and tastier. Anyone else find this situation with thier furbabies?

ParticipantNot to play devil’s advocate, but I’ve had a somewhat different experience with the Pet Pride treats. While the size and crunch of the treats were initially appealing to my pup Tilly, we found that they were a bit too hard for her after she lost some of her baby teeth. She’s a terrier mix and generally loves a good chew, but these seemed to test her teething tolerance. Has anyone found a similar issue? Perhaps it’s just that Tilly is more comfortable with softer types after teething. Regardless, like most things, it’s probably a matter of personal preference for your doggo! Just wanted to share my two cents.

ParticipantI can definitely see where some of the previous posters are coming from. I’ve got two fur babies, a rottweiler and a shih tzu, and they have very polarity opposite preferences when it comes to Pet Pride treats. The Rottie can’t get enough of ’em – he devours them like there’s no tomorrow! But my little Shih Tzu turns her nose up at ’em – no matter what flavor I try. So yeah, it leans towards a bit hit or miss for me as well. Maybe the size is too big for smaller breeds or perhaps it’s just the taste? Either way, always important to remember that each dog has their own unique tastes, just like we do. If your pooch isn’t keen on them, it might just be worth trying out a different brand until you strike gold!
