It isn’t just the design of it, which by the way is pretty swanky (Benny has the herringbone one), it’s also about how sturdy and comfortable it is. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve found my son trying to use it cause Benny won’t give it up! 😂

However, a few points to note: 1) the price tag is somewhat steep – definitely more than I’d ordinarily shell out for a dog bed and 2) washing and care can be a bit tricky. The cover isn’’t machine washable as far as I can tell, though I could be wrong here – anyone else knows better?

But overall given how much Benny loves it, these Snoozers get a thumbs up in my book. Any of you had similar experiences or alternatives that are easier on the pocket?

So yeah Snoozer might be a bit extravagant for some folks (and dogs), but if you’re after comfort and something long-lasting, this is definitely the way to go.

That said, I’ve found some great discount dog beds that are also pretty decent – ever checked out something like Kirkland’s Signature Pet Beds? They’re not as flashy but still comfy and easy on the wallet. Anybody else tried one of them? How did your pooch take to it?

Just wondering – any of you had experience with these beds in terms of durability? With Archie being a bit of a chewer, I’m hoping it lasts!

I did face an issue with the zipper breaking within the first six months, but a quick DIY fix and it was good to go again (But yeah, at that price point, you shouldn’t really be dealing with that kinda stuff). Besides that hiccup though, it’s held up pretty well against Max’s antics.

Also, nothing wrong with shopping discount beds either! I once grabbed a bargain bin bed from TJ Maxx and to my surprise it lasted quite a while too! So I guess at the end of the day it really ddepends on your dog, their size, and how they use their bed. Has anyone tried repairing any damages? Interested to hear how that went down…

    there fellow dog pals,

I’ve got the Snoozer for my Goldie, and lemme tell ya, it’s totally a Sleepy Time Savior! I was skeptical at first cause it’s a bit on the pricier side, but worth every penny. She went from sulking on the cold floor to snuggling up in her cozy bed in no time – gets excited just at the sight of it!

Has anyone tried washing the cover yet though? I’m bit wary about it shrinking. Looking forward to hearing your experiences. And btw, don’t even think abt settling for cheaper alternatives – I learned it the hard way! This ones a clear winner, hands down.

So my bulldog, Biff, has been curling up in a Snoozer for just over a year now. I’d have to agree about it being a Sleepy Time Savior! It took him a couple days to get used to it, but since then, he basically lives in the thing. The raised edges (or bolster as they call it), just gives him that cuddled feel annd coziness.

One word of advice though, you want to measure your dog from nose to tail before you order so that you get a bed with plenty of space for your pooch to spread out in – Biff can go from curled-up croissant mode to full despicable me minion in no time flat 😂

Anyhow, how do you guys clean these things? Dish soap and warm water seems to do the trick for us, but wondering what works for y’all.

On the other hand, if you’re looking for an alternative, I found that the Orvis dog beds really do last longer annd they’re great quality. Daisy’s been snoozing away happily on hers for over a year now with no signs of wear and tear. Just throwing it out there for those on fence between Snoozer and another brand!

Just jumpin’ in to share my two cents. I snagged a Snoozer for my mastiff, Max, last year and, honestly, it was a bit of a mixed bag. Max liked the comfy bolsters, but the center padding went flat far too quickly 🙁 I mean Max is certainly no featherweight but still, it should’ve held up better.

We’ve since switched to a Big Barker bed, geared especially towards larger breeds like him. It’s holding up real solid so far! Sure, it’s pricier than a Snoozer but considering how long it seems to be lasting? Totally worth the extra coin.

Anyone else tried the Big Barker beds yet? Curious to hear your experiences!

Just a cautionary comment though – if you have a chew-happy pup, they might get through the corner seams. Mine tried gnawin’ on it a couple of times before he got used to it.

Interesting pointer about the Orvis beds! Are they good for heavier breeds too? My neighbor has a hefty Great Dane that could do with a comfy sleep spot.

On the flip side, anyone have thoughts on Big Barker beds? I’ve heard they are orthopedic and made to last, thinking that could be an option once my other boy, Jake (a tough jawed Rottie mix), needs an upgrade from his indestructible Kuranda bed. Any personal experiences?

Though, I totally agree with the chewy-dog issue raised before; had another pup that went at it like crazy. It kinda held up but eventually got messy. So yeah, tread careflly if your furball has sharp teeth and loves to use ’em on everything.

Now about Big Barker beds, eh? They seem pretty solid for larger breeds and orthopedic support is always a plus! Anyone used them with their smaller dogs though? Just curious.

And btw, shoutout to those underdogs who can’t resist chewing everything – you might wanna try tougher chew-resistant beds. Or lots of chew toys, haha. Anyway, curious to know which brands worked best for your fervently chomping fur balls? Cheers!

By the way, anyone tried those bitter apple sprays to discourage chewing? I heard they could help. An alternative could be trying dog furniture with tougher materials. Kuranda dog beds are pretty robust – they say “chew-proof” but we know better don’t we? They’re elevated off the floor too which Bella finds less appealing (annd less chewable!). Would be interested to hear if others have found any good solutions to save our beloved dog beds from thier gnawing doom. 😉
