Yeah, it’s a bit pricier compared to others, but quality-wise it’s top-notch in my book. Real meat is their first ingredient and the food is made in the USA – can’t go wrong there! The only downside is that my local pet store sometimes runs out cause apparently it gets sold out fast. So now I make sure to buy enough stock that lasts us a month.

Remember though everyone’s pooch is different so what works for one might not work for another! Always best to check with your vet before making any major changes to your fur baby’s diet. Cheers!

Merrick’s grain-free variety has real meat _(they offer beef, chicken…even salmon!)_ as the first ingredient in their recipe which is miles better than some brands with unpronounceable fillers at the top of their list. Plus, Buddy can’t seem to get enough of that Texas beef flavor – practically inhales his dinner!

The only drawback I’ve noticed is the price point. It’s a bit on the pricier side compared to other brands but if you ask me, every penny spent on good nutrition for Bud is worth it. All in all, would definitely recommend giving Merrick a shot if you’re considering changing up your fur baby’s food. Your pup might thank you for it!

I’ve been feeding my golden retriever, Bailey, Merrick dog food for about a year now and she seems to really love it. It’s grain-free which is perfect for her sensitive stomach. Plus, they have a variety of flavor options which is great because it allows me to switch them up and keep her meals interesting.

But onto the important stuff – her health. She’s got shiny fur and tons of energy, so I couldn’t be happier with that! Also, Bailey had some issues with weight gain in the past but with Merrick’s recipe that prioritizes high-quality proteins and low carbs, she has managed to maintain a healthier weight.

The only downside is that Merrick is on the pricier side compared to some other brands out there. However, given the benefits I’ve seen in Bailey’s health and how much she enjoys her meals, I believe it’s worth every penny. Remember, not all dog foods are created equal!

Hope this helps anyone considering this brand!

Hey there! I’ve been using Merrick dog food for a while now, and let me tell you, my golden retriever can’t get enough of it! She basically does a little dance around her food bowl every time I pour the kibbles.

Honestly, when I first switched, I was just trying to find a way to ease her allergies. But now, not only has her coat become shinier and fuller (without any allergic flare-ups!), but her energy levels have also really shot up. Makes our park time even more fun!

A little on the pricey side? Maybe. But considering how much it’s helped my girl, I reckon it’s definitely worth it. Although, do keep in mind that every dog is unique — what works for mine may not be ideal for yours 😊🐾

Thought I’d drop in and give my two cents on Merrick Dog Food since I recently made the switch for my golden retriever, Toby. On paper, this stuff seems like a dream come true – made in the USA, grain-free, packed with protein.

Toby seems to really like it – his tail is always wagging when meal time comes around. As for the benefits? Honestly, I’ve noticed an impressive increase in his energy levels that even our walks have become jogs (praying my fitness level can keep up!). Plus, his coat has never looked better – seriously shiny and healthy.

Now, the downside: it’s not exactly at the cheaper end of dog food options out there. Is it worth every penny for my Toby’s happiness and health? Sure thing! But if you’re on a budget, it might be a bit of a stretch.

Bottom line – if you’re not worried about the price tag, Tobes and I totally recommend Merrick Dog Food. Just pay attention to your pup’s reaction though—every furbaby is different after all.

    Keep it pawsome guys!

    Best,

Been using Merrick dog food for my German Shepard, Honey, the past few months. Not gonna lie, I’ve seen some pretty impressive changes. Her coat’s never looked so shiny and sleek! She had this digestion issue which has improved significantly too, thanks to Merrick.

I could clearly see that she loves the taste. This is such a relief because she tends to be ultra picky with her food usually. Also checked their ingredient list (you gotta be vigilant about what your dogs consume these days) and I was happy to notice it was all natural and grain-free. Quality protein as the main ingredient – my Honey deserves nothing less!

The only downside? It’s a bit pricier than regular dog food brands out there. But hey, for the benefits it’s been giving my fluffy girl, I’m okay with paying a tad more. A healthy pupper is worth every penny.

Anywho, just thought I’d share my two cents on it. Have a great day fellow dog parents! Give your furbabies an extra pat from me and Honey! 🐾👋

I’ve noticed her coat has become shinier and she seems to have more energy during our daily walks in the park. Plus, the ingredient list is impressive – mostly whole food ingredients that I can actually pronounce. No weird fillers like soy or cornmeal.
The only downside I’d say is that it’s a bit pricier than some other brands–but you get what you pay for, right? For me personally, knowing that Bailey’s getting high-quality, nutritious food is worth the extra bucks. Hope that helps!

juts saw your post about Merrick dog food and thought I’d toss in my two cents. We switched our golden retriever, Bailey to Merrick’s Grain-Free recipe a few months back at the recommendation of our vet. She had been experiencing some stomach issues with her previous brand and so we thought to give it a shot.

Honestly, it’s been great for her! No more tummy troubles, AND she seemed to have gained a bit more energy (if that’s even possible with a golden!). I’d also noticed her coat seems shinier. Not sure if it’s a thing but bonus either way right?

The only downside to the Merrick in my experience is that it’s a bit pricier than some other brands. But honestly, for the changes I’ve seen in Bailey, I think it’s worth every penny.

One advice though, always introduce any new food gradually to avoid upsetting their digestion. Mix in the new food with their old diet over the course of a week or so to ensure they transition smoothly.

Hope this helps you out! Let me know what you end up choosing for your furry friend. 🐾

    Hey everyone,

So, I see a lot of chatter about Merrick dog food these days and I thought I’ll share my two cents worth.

Personally, I have a 7-year-old Lab and he loves it. We switched from another premium brand to Merrick about a year ago. Brought home their Grain-Free Real Texas Beef and Sweet Potato recipe and the reaction from my buddy was priceless – never seen him more excited during mealtime!

I like that it’s grain-free and packed with real meats – this seems easier on his digestion. He has had fewer stomach issues since we switched, so that’s a major plus point for us. Also – his coat looks shinier and healthier than ever.

But here’s the downside – the stuff’s not exactly cheap. If you’re working within a tight pet care budget (like many of us are), Merrick might feel like a bit of a stretch.

Listen, every dog is different – what agrees with mine might not work out well for yours. It also depends upon specific dietary needs some dogs might have due to health reasons. So always check in with your vet before making a diet overhaul.

Hope this helps someone looking for insights. Chew on it! 😉

So funny you brought up Merrick dog food, my golden retriever, Bear, has been on Merrick for about 6 months now. I switched him over because of the grain-free trend and their great variety in flavors caught my attention.

Bear’s coat seems healthier and shiner, he’s got a lot of energy as well… guess that’s normal for Retrievers though haha! The high protein content really suits his active lifestyle. He especially loves the Texas beef flavor – I swear Bear would marry that bag if he could!

However, it is a bit pricey compared to other brands with similar nutritional content out there, so might not be everyone’s first choice if they’re on a budget. Also, make sure to transition your pup onto this new food slowly to avoid any upset tummies.

In short, Merrick has been really good for us but remember that every dog has different needs and preferences. Keep an eye out on how your dog responds when you introduce any new food.

Hope it helps! Have fun taking care of your furry one!

Hey there! Let me just start off by saying I’m a huge fan of Merrick’s line of dog food. I’ve got two dogs at home, a peppy Jack Russell and a lazy basset hound, and they both chow down on Merrick like it’s going out of style.

I switched over to Merrick from another brand about 6 months ago because my pups were getting a bit, um, “round”. Got them into the diet range – Game Bird recipe in particular (grain-free). Can’t tell you how much energy they’ve regained… like puppies again!

The thing that really sells it for me though, is the ingredient list. Lean meats at the top of the list with all kinds of fruits and veggies right behind. No dubious ‘animal by-products’ or whatever. Plus, it’s manufactured right here in good ol’ USA.

Now bend an ear – price-wise, it’s admittedly a little heftier than other feeds. But honestly, seeing my fur babies healthier and livelier than ever? Worth every penny. If your furry friend has specific dietary needs or allergies though, do have a word with your vet before switching to any new food.

That’s all from this dog-dad’s side! Give Merrick a whirl if you’re considering it – wouldn’t wager you’d be disappointed. Cheers!

Just saw this thread and thought I’d chip in my two cents about Merrick dog food. Our Lab Mix, Bailey, has been on the Grain-Free Chicken + Sweet Potato recipe for about a year now.

In the beginning, we were worried whether she’d like it or not, but oh boy, does she love her meal times now! Her coat is shiny, she’s got loads of energy- heck, she finally lost that stubborn puppy weight many labs seem to hold onto.

I know the price point can be a bit on the north side compared to some other brands but you’ve gotta consider what you’re investing in here- quality ingredients, grain-free options, and even specific recipes for dietary needs. IMO, totally worth it!

Do remember though what works for Bailey may not work for your fur-baby. Always take a look at your dog’s specific needs because every pup is different!

    Stay pawsome!

We made the switch after a friend recommended this, and wow – what a difference! Boomer’s coat has never been shinier, and his energy level… off the charts! Not to mention his digestive issues seem to have disappeared too.

I love their ingredient transparency too, real meat or fish as the first ingredient with fruits and veggies, no empty fillers. Keeps me feeling good about what I’m serving up for my buddy.

Okay, it comes at a bit of a steeper price than some other dog food brands but if you ask me? Totally worth it. Check out one of Merrick’s grain-free recipes if your pup has similar dietary needs. Give it a couple weeks, you might be just as surprised as we were with the positive changes in your pet. Hope this helps someone out there!

Was just scrolling through and saw your question about Merrick dog food. Funny enough, I switched over to Merrick for my lab mix, Bella, a few months back. I’ve noticed some drastic improvements in her energy levels and coat condition. Plus, she absolutely loves mealtime now!

One major plus is the ingredient list – it’s filled with real meat and veggies and doesn’t have those sketchy fillers you often see in other brands. The downside though? It is on the pricier side — but for me, investing a bit more for Bella’s health? Worth it.

But remember, every dog is different. Bella adores the chicken and sweet potato recipe but your pup might prefer something else. You might want to experiment with a small bag first before entirely committing.

Good luck with your doggy food journey! Let us know how it goes.
