I’ve been using Nutro dog treats for training sessions with my Beagle, Bailey, for about two years now and I can definately say the size of these treats is perfect for smaller breeds. The chewiness keeps Bailey engaged without being so tough that it interrupts the flow of our training. However, although their ingredients are great and my dog loves them, I did find that they crumble easily in my pocket or treat bag over the course of a walk. Does anyone else experience this issue? Tips on keeping them intact would be welcomed! As for value, if you use them as sparingly as we do (Bailey works hard for her treats), a single bag can go a long way. I’ve found them to be more cost-effective than other high-end brands.

I couldn’t agree more with your review. My Bullmastiff Max loves Nutro treats as well and I’ve found them to be fantastic aid during his training sessions. I’m quite pleased with how long a single bag lasts, considering the size of the treats – they’re just right for those quick reward moments. Also, the fact that they’re made of natural ingredients is a big plus! With Max being a large breed, I appreciate not having to worry about giving him too many. But, as always, moderation is key in any diet. Anyone else who’s been using these treats noticing an improved focus during trainings?

I can’t argue with the popularity of Nutro treats in this crowd, but personally, my Golden Retriever Shelby seems to prefer Blue Buffalo’s Wilderness treats instead. They’re a bit pricier, but she really enjoys the different flavors offered. This is especially helpful during training sessions – switching up the treat flavors keeps her paying close attention! I think it might boil down to your dog’s personal taste, so you might want to consider trying out different brands and flavors as well. Have any of you guys had the same luck switching up treat brands?

Absolutely onboard with you guys about Nutro treats. They definitely hit the sweet spot in terms of price and effectiveness. My Border Collie, Jess, is pretty picky when it comes to treats but she’s been a fan of Nutro since day one. From tiny training bitesize pieces to larger treats for good behavior, they seem to hold up well without crumbling and leave very little mess which as an owner is greatly appreciated!

In fact, I have also found them useful when introducing Jess to new experiences – placing a few around during her first car ride was a great distraction and now she hops in without any fear. Another tip I’ve found particularly effective is using them when handling sensitive areas (like paws or mouth) during grooming; it helps keep her relaxed and cooperative.

Anyone else experienced this? Any other novel ways you’re using your Nutro goodies? Considered trying other flavors too?

I’ve got a bit of a different take on the Nutro treats. While it’s great that they’re cost-effective and available in various sizes, I found them to be somewhat crumbly for my Cocker Spaniel, Daisy. Maybe she’s a little too enthusiastic about treat time, but we ended up with quite the mess to clean up afterward. For me, durability is key so she can enjoy her goodies without leaving half of it on the floor.

I’d recommend trying out less crumbly alternatives; you might have to pay a bit extra, but it could save you from an unexpected cleaning spree! Just remember always to keep monitoring your fur-buddy’s reactions when trying new treats – what doesn’t work for one dog might be perfect for another. And consult with your vet if there are any changes in thier behavior or health. Our pups are unique after all – isn’t that why we love them?

Yeah, it’s hard to beat Nutro treats in terms of value for money. My Husky, Freya, absolutely loves ’em – she practically does a little dance every time she spots the bag! And with a pretty swift gobble rate and desirable size, they make for great training incentives.

But an odd thing I’ve noticed? Despite the perfect size for small and medium dogs, they prove a bit challenging for larger breeds like Freya. She tries to devour them whole, which worries me a little. Anybody else noticed this with their larger pups?

My advice: if you got a bigger doggo, maybe break the treat into smaller pieces before giving it to them just as a safety measure – until Nutro comes up with something more size-friendly! As always though, if any major eating issues occur, best consult your vet. Anyone got additional tips for making these treats work for our large furry friends?

Got to chime in here with my own experience. I’ve been giving these Nutro treats to my border collie, Jasper, for a while now. He’s quite fussy when it comes to treats but took to these like a pro! They’re perfectly sized for his moderate appetite and the crunchy texture keeps him interested. That being said, for larger breeds you might find the size a little on the small side.

Now about durability, they don’t crumble easily which is a huge plus when pocketing them for walks or training sessions. As for price, well, they’ve struck a nice balance between quality and affordability, especially if you keep an eye out for deals online. All in all, it’s a thumbs up from both me and Jasper! Though as always, if your dog has any specific dietary needs or reactions, do consult your vet before switching up their treats.

Totally agree with the sentiments here about Nutro treats. I’ve got a feisty little Boston Terrier who usually turns up her nose at most snacks, but she seems to really enjoy these. Even the size works well for her – not too big, not too small. As far as cost goes, I definitely feel like I’m getting value for my money with Nutro.

I also appreciate that they seem to be relatively mess-free, don’t leave a weird residue in her treat bag like some others we’ve tried. Anyone else noticed this? A small detail perhaps, but it does add to the overall positive experience for me.

Any other brands out there that offer this combo of size and cleanliness? Always open to new suggestions!

I’ve got a couple of big, active Goldens annd they’re big fans of Nutro treats too. The treats are just the right size for them and they seem to love the taste. In my experience, Nutro treats are durable enough not to crumble easily which is great because I often carry them around in my pocket during our walks.

However, I do wonder if anyone else’s dogs have had any digestive issues? My pup Sam started having a bit of a sensitive stomach recently – could it be related or perhaps it’s just his age (he’s 8)? Always a good idea to check with your vet of course If you’re ever unsure about anything diet-related. Anyhow, how do you guys use the treats? As a reward during training sessions or simply as a bonding moment?

Well, well, well. Jumping on the Nutro train too, eh? Gotta say, these treats are something. And by “something”, I mean an absolute winner in my books. Got a hyperactive Siberian Husky – a monster that can chew through anything you put in front of him. From stuffed animals to supposedly indestructible toys – all fair game.

I started giving him these Nutro goodies about a year ago and haven’t looked back. They’re the perfect size for his wolf-like jaw and crunchy yet not so hard he’ll lose a tooth trying to enjoy his reward. Hasn’t turned his snout up at them once – age hasn’t dulled his enthusiasm, the old timer.

About price? Worth every single penny. These aren’t just dog treats; they’re lifelines during obedience training sessions or when you’re just trying to get some peace and quiet around the house. Treats with purpose, if you will.

Fair warning though – don’t go overboard handing out treats left, right and center no matter how much your pooch begs – it’s easy to spoil them with these little morsels (I fell into THAT trap). Balance is key. Introduce these Nutro gems gradually into their diet and always keep an eye on their weight & general health.

Anyone else here have some tales of their pups demolishing these treats in record time?

As an owner of an energetic Labrador, I’ve found that Nutro treats do wonders for his training sessions. Size-wise, they’re large enough to get his attention but not too large that he’s chewing forever, which is fantastic when trying to keep the flow during trraining. I remember I first bought them on a whim because they were on sale and since then, they’ve become our go-tos due to their impressive durability; they rarely break apart unlike many others we tried before. That said, even though price might be slightly above average, in my experience they last longer so still pretty decent value for money.

But I am curious about one thing: has anyone else noticed if their dogs seem a bit more eager during training when using these treats? Jack (that’s my Lab) seems positively thrilled when he sees the Nutro bag coming out! Just wondering if it’s the same with your furry fellows?

As a fellow golden retriever owner, I can confirm that our furbabies do love these Nutro treats. I’ve noticed they’re not only tasty but also the perfect size for teaching new tricks annd reinforcing good behaviors! Anyone else found this to be the case? While we’re discussing pricing, has anyone managed to snag a good deal on these treats online or at local stores? In my experience, sometimes it’s cheaper to buy in bulk, even with doggy treats!

Alright folks, let me throw a curveball here. True, Nutro dog treats are fine no doubt, but allow me share my experience with Zuke’s Mini Naturals – they might just turn your head! These little chicken flavored morsels are a perfect size for training and Mick, my 5-year-old Border Collie, goes bananas for them. The ingredient list is pretty impressive too and has less filler than many other brands. And no, they’re not as hard on the wallet as you might think!. Just give ’em try maybe? How does your pup react to new treats anyway?

I agree with much of what’s been said about Nutro treats; my GSD mix, Bruno, quite enjoys them. They’re a good size for his large jaws and they certainly do last him a bit longer than other brands. Price wise, they’re decent enough, especially considering the quality of ingredients listed on the packaging. However, I’ve noticed that he gets thirsty fairly quickly after having one – might be a noteworthy tidbit for those whose pups are constantly on the go! All things considered, it’s an efficient treat that delivers good value for money. But do bear in mind every dog is unique, and this has just been my experience with Bruno. Anyone else notice their dogs feeling a tad thirsty after these?

Just swinging in to add my two cents about these Nutro treats. I’ve had my Siberian Husky, Max, for around four years, and these are one of his absolute favorites. They fit perfect for his size and he’s never had trouble chomping down on them.

Here’s a little tip that’s worked wonders for our training sessions: Use the Nutro minis! The smaller size keeps him motivated without quickly filling him up during long training.

The only downside? Well, I’ve noticed as a limited ingredient treat, they’re a little pricier than some other options. But for the product’s quality and how much Max loves them – I’d say it’s well worth the extra dollars.

Of course, if you’re concerned about budget or dietary restrictions, always consult with your vet first to find what’s best for your pup!
