I saw this post and had to chime in about the Furhaven dog bed. I got one for my golden retriever, Daisy, a few months back and, let me tell ya, she’s had some of the best sleeps in her life on this thing. It’s super roomy and the orthopedic foam seems like it’s really comfy for her.

And another thing I love is how easy it is to clean. The cover zips right off and pops back on after a quick wash. Makes life a little less chaotic with all the shedding she does. Has anyone else found it this simple or am I just having good luck?

About previous posts mentioning its durability – well, Daisy isn’t much of a chewer so can’t really comment on that part. All in all, totally recommend the Furhaven bed! Anybody else have a similar experience?

P.S – I got ours in “Plush Gray” 😊 Let’s jsut say it matches our living room aesthetic perfectly! Haha!

I totally agree with your take on how easily washable the cover is. I got the “chocolate” color (despite Bubba’s attempts to convince me he wanted the fun “plaid” version!) and even after quite a few spins in the washer, it still looks like new … mostly!

And another thing – have any of you noticed how cool this bed stays? I guess it’s part of their “cooling gel foam” they advertise. But whatever it is, Bubba seems way more comfortable on hot summer nights since we switched to Furhaven. Have others experienced the same?

The “chocolate” cover is spot on too – hides the dirt real well between washes (which is a saving grace, given Droopy’s love of outdoor frolicking). So kudos to you for pointing that out. A small quibble though – removing the cover for washing can be a touch tricky sometimes, especially when you’re in a hurry. Did anyone else face this issue too? I got used to it but wonder if there’s a knack I’m missing out on.

Definitely sticking with Furhaven, but also peeking at alternatives out of curiosity. Any suggestions?

Totally agree with you about how simple it is to clean the cover. I mean, with dogs, you never know what mess they are gonna bring in, right? And yup, the dark shade of the bed helps too between washes. It’s crazy how much difference a good dogbed can make…

Here’s a tip from me: I even pop a heating pad under it in winter months and Rocky loves the extra warmth. Does anyone else do something similar?

And if this bed ever wears out (doubtful ’cause it’s holding up real well), I’d defniitely buy another one from Furhaven.

Love reading your perspectives folks! Keep them comming.

guys, I can definitely see where you’re coming from about how easily washable the Furhaven cover is, my Lab just seems to find every mud puddle in existence. And that unapologetic “what?” look when she comes in filthy – priceless. The “chocolate cover” certainly helps hide the dirt between washes. I still remember using lighter colored bed covers and… let’s just say it wasn’t pretty at all!`

Here’s a curveball though – have any of you tried out Coolaroo Elevated Pet Bed? It’s perfect for summer use and cleaning it is a breeze too, literally hose it down and you’re good. Just offering an alternative perspective 🙂

I’ve gotta say though, he seems to have put on some extra weight since we got ours because of all that lounging around he does. Thinkin’ that doggy-yoga class might not be such a crazy idea after all…

So here’s my question: anyone else noticed their dogs getting a tad too comfortable in their Furhavens? Any tips on luring them off it for walkies? 🐾

Totally agree with what you said about the Furhaven dog bed! My golden lab also has one and I swear it’s his favorite hangout spot in the house. As for the weight gain – could be that your pup is snoozing more than usual now with all that comfort lol.

One tip though, if you’re finding that the fur bed gets a bit stinky after a while, chuck the cover in the wash every few weeks. Keeps it fresh as new! But anyone else notice any tearing on these beds? Asking because my rambunctious lab tends to play rough and I worry he’ll rip through this one too…

Anyways, happy snoozing to your pups! 🐶💤
