But here’s something everybody should note – you gotta make sure you’re getting the right size for your pooch. In all articles online, or even on Orvis’s website, they say size options cater to dogs of all sizes but I think their sizing runs a bit large. Had to send our first order back to get a smaller one. Apart from that little snafu, no complaints really.

Oh and speaking of washing these beds, anyone got tips on how best to wash them? Wondering if there’s a secret trick to make it less of a chore!

A handy tip: Err on the side of caution and, if unsure of the perfect fit, go a size up rather than down. Correct me if I’m wrong but is there an Orvis size guide available online perhaps? Could use one for future references 🤔

So I’ve had my Orvis dog bed for about two years now, and man has it been a lifesaver. I gotta tell you, my Springer Spaniel, Charlie, is head over paws in love with it. The thing is ridiculously durable and the memory foam hasn’t given out yet, even with Charlie’s habit of doing circus-like flips on it…

Now here’s where I kinda disagree with the advice about sizing up if unsure. My dapper dude is a biggun’, but I found that the large bed was just too big for him – he kept sliding off! So my two cents? Maybe stick closer to your best buddy’s actual size rather than going bigger.

Any of you had similar experiences? Did the sizing work for you as recommended or did you have to adjust like me?

    Cheers,

I absolutely agree with some folks here about the superior quality. You really get what you pay for with Orvis! If your pooch is anything like Marcel and loves stretching out, I’d recommend picking up one size bigger than what you think you need. Wish I had done that sooner, cause I ended up getting a second larger one as Marcie couldn’t get enough of the amazing comfort but needed more space 😅

Oh and as for cleaning – so much easier than our old bed, even though Marcel seems to think rolling in mud is his full time job… Hope this helps anyone on the fence! Now, does anyone know how to convince them that other furniture isn’t as comfy as their fancy dog bed? 😂

One thing I noticed, which I didn’t expect, was how much my dog’s skin health improved. She used to get these dry patches here and there with the old bed we had. Not anymore with this one – seems like the materials they’ve used are not just comfortable but also hypoallergenic?

Also, for those wondering about cleaning, it’s a breeze – just unzip and toss in the washer! Has anyone else noticed similar improvements in skin conditions after switching to Orvis or is it just us?

Totally agree with you on the skin health improvement, mate. When we got our beagle, his skin was in a pretty bad condition due to allergies annd honestly, getting the Orvis dog bed is one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. I think it’s because of the hypoallergenic materials they use, it makes a real diffrence for sensitive pups like ours. Has anyone else noticed this too? An alternative could be using hypoallergenic blanekts, but I reckon these are harder to clean than te whole bed itself. Would totally recommend Orvis to any dog-owner out there facing similar issues!

But here is what’s bugging me though… Do you guys find the cover washing instructions just a tad too complicated? It’s like solving the da Vinci code trying to wash that thing, ya know? Lol. I mean, it’s not too much of a hassle but every once in a while, you’d love an easier chore to deal with. Any one got some advice on that?
