Absolutely agree with you about Aldi’s dog treats being a great bargain! I grabbed a pack for my Labrador, Sammy and he went nuts over them. I initially thought the size of the treats might be too big for him since he’s used to smaller bite-sized snacks. To my surprise though, they were perfect, not too large but substantial enough to keep him happy.

The packaging stood up well, even after Sammy tried to sneak into the pantry! The zipper top is a godsend—it helps keep the product fresh without me having to transfer them to another container. In terms of durability, let’s just say Sammy tends to gobble his snacks right down. However, these lasted a bit longer, giving me time to grab a cup of coffee while he was busy munching away!

For the price tag, honestly can’t beat it. But always remember each dog is unique and has different dietary preferences or restrictions, so always keep an eye on how your furry friend reacts to new food. Consult your vet if you have any concerns.

By the way, has anyone tried these treats for training? How effective were they in getting your pup’s attention?

Gotta chime in here: I’ve been spoiling my pooches for a good 18 years and Aldi’s dog treats are honestly top-tier in terms of budget friendly options. I can tell you, my border collie is pretty picky but she went head over tail for the liver flavored Earls treats from Aldi. The sizes are perfect for training and they’re robust enough to not crumble in your pocket during a walk. You do find the occasional broken piece, but for the price, it’s hard not to appreciate the value! One thing to be mindful of – every treat has its own nutritional content, so make sure you’re not overdoing it! Always a good idea to consult with your vet if you’re unsure. Anyone else try any other flavors? My gal might fancy a new taste!

Haha, yep Aldi’s treats are a hit at my place too! So affordable annd my two cavaliers love them. But let me tell ya, their size could be bit of an issue for smller pooches – found this out the hard way when my little one struggled to chomp on them (it’s all emotional drama I guess). Cutting them into smaller bits did the trick, but if you’re not up for that extra chore, consider picking up softer, smaller treats elsewhere. Anybody else have this size issue or is it just mine with her princess attitude?

Absolutely! Aldi’s treats are certainly a hit for affordability, and my husky mix devours them with no problem. However, if your dog is like mine and of the larger breed, you might find the size of these treats a tad small. I found myself giving him three or four at a time during training sessions.

After doing some searching, I discovered the Costco Kirkland Signature’s Dog Biscuits. They’re a smidge pricier than those from Aldi but significantly larger – perfect for the big boys n’ girls out there and still fairly affordable for their size. Has anyone tried them? Would love to hear other opinions on this alternative option!

Just echoing all the praises for Aldi’s dog treats! I’ve got a cuddly Golden Retriever that tends to be quite picky with her treats, yet she always enjoys Aldi’s. The size is just right for her, and the fact that they don’t turn into a crumbly mess in my pockets is an absolute bonus. The price point is perfect too; top value without compromising quality. Here’s a little nugget of advice though – make sure you store them properly to maintain their freshness! Has anyone else had particularly good experiences with them, or any other bargain treats we should know about?

I’ve also found Aldi’s dog treats to be amazing value for the quality you’re getting. What surprises me most is the size distribution in each bag – my German Shepherd Brewster finds them jsut nicely sized while his little sister, a Dachshund named Poppy, takes her time but eventually gets through hers too. Only ever so slight hiccup was when Brewster got a particularly hard one that he didn’t like much. Apart from that, both dogs have absolutely devoured these treats, and not a single complaint about the digestibility or any troubles afterwards. However, if your pet does face any issues, I’d recommend consulting with a vet promptly. In terms of price, it’s really hard to beat what Aldi offers. Certainly plan on continuing this tasty tradition at our home!

Oh absolutely, I can’t rave enough about Aldi dog treats myself. My little terrier mix, Mikey, gets so excited the moment he hears the crinkle of that bag – I swear he’s got a sixth sense for them. At only a couple of dollars a bag, you just can’t beat the affordability annd Mikey sure doesn’t seem to mind taste either! But don’t make my mistake tho; avoid leaving the bag anywhere within snout’s reach. Found out the hard way when Mikey ended up finishing an entire pack on his cheeky ‘dinner date’. Anyone else have their pups stage a steal operation or is it just my mischievous furball?

Totally on board with all the Aldi dog treats love here! My Labrador, Bruno, is a big fan of them. When it comes to size and durability, they work great for him as he’s quite the heavy chewer. The price point really hits a sweet spot too – quality treats without breaking the bank. I even use these as part training rewards. Anfyone else do this? Does the trick keep their interest during sessions?

Just curious though, has anyone tried their hypoallergenic range? Bruno doesn’t have any food allergies but was wondering if they would be a good alternative to mix things up a bit. Thoughts?

Can’t agree more about the Aldi dog treats. I’ve got a Basset Hound, Droopy, who’s pretty picky when it comes to snacks. I decided to give the Aldi range a go as they are not only affordable but made of quality ingredients too. Imagine my surprise when Droopy just couldn’t get enough! He especially loves the ones with duck fillet – goes bonkers every time he sees the packet. Just remember to ration out these treats since they’re super tasty annd we don’t want our furbabies getting tubbier than they should be! Any other recommendations for healthy, yet tantalizing treats?

I’ve got to jump in here – we tried Aldi dog treats for my Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Max, but they didn’t quite hit the mark for us. Max is pretty big, and the treats are a bit on the small side for him. We switched over to Bully Make’s tough chews instead – they’re bigger and last longer for him so he doesn’t gobble them up in one bite. Plus, Bully Make offers a box subscription, so we never run out of treats for Max! If anyone else has a larger breed dog and had similar issues with Aldi treats, I’d love to hear what solutions you’ve found. Always open to trying new things!

I’ve been using Aldi’s dog treats for my pair of Boxers, Roxy and Scout, for a while now. In terms of size and texture, they’re absolutely paw-fect. However, I noticed some inconsistency in the latter batches regarding their hardness. For those with senior dogs or pups with dental issues, it might be a bit tough on their teeth. While I’m still an Aldi fan overall, I also started incorporating “Wellness Soft Puppy Bites” into their treat rotation to have a softer option on hand. Hope this helps anyone else facing a similar issue! As always, for any dental concerns, certainly reach out to your vet. Does anyone else switch up their dog’s treats like this?

Yep, I’m on board with these Aldi dog treats. I have a feisty little Beagle, Benny, who just can’t get enough of them. He loves tearing those treats apart – they really do last a while which is impressive considering thier price point. The cute heart shapes add a little something extra too! I’ve found that the size is great for training sessions and for rewarding good behavior (like when Benny finally stops digging holes in the backyard…). And hey, if you’re skeptical about the ingredients, always consult your vet to make sure they fit in with your dog’s diet. Anyone else notice their dog favoring a certain flavor? Benny seems to prefer the chicken ones.

Well, well, in my nearly two decades of playing fetch, grooming, and serving as the perennial poop-scooper for my motley crew of furry friends, I thought I’d seen it all! Then along came Aldi dog treats. Picked a pack up on a whim – the price was hard to ignore- and boy, what an unexpected surprise. As for size, they’re perfect for both my regal Retriever and puckish Pomeranian. Somehow manages to tempt the picky palate of poodles to the ravenous Rottweilers – quite a feat I tell ya!

While these aren’t the sturdiest of chews (don’t expect them to double as dental cleaners or occupy your pups for hours), they do seem to have a Homer-Simpsonesque “Mmm, donuts” effect on my lot. They practically levitate at the rustle of the packet!!

In terms of nutrition though, remember they are treats, not main sources of sustenance. Always balance out with wholesome food. Any tummy troubles – straight to the vet you go!

Just outta curiosity… anyone else got furry kids who think these are manna from heaven? Or got any DIY dog treat recipes?

Absolutely agree that Aldi’s dog treats are a solid choice based on price and size. However, for those who have pups with sensitive tummies like my dear Sadie, she didn’t take well to them unfortunately (might be the high grain content? Just speculating here). Switched over to Blue Buffalo grain free treats and voila, no more upset tummy! They are a bit more pricy than Aldi’s though. Any other alternatives for dogs with sensitive stomachs out there folks?

I totally agree about the price point, Aldi’s dog treats are definitely cost-effective. My old Labrador, Sam, enjoys them from time to time. However, I found that their durability doesn’t match up to some of the more premium brands out there, particularly for larger breeds with stronger jaws. So if you have a big chewer at home, you might want to go for something a bit sturdier. In terms of size though, they do offer a decent variety which is great for us dog parents with pups of different sizes. Always remember to trial and see what your dog likes best before buying in bulk!

And just wondering if anyone else has tried incorporating these treats into their training sessions? How did it go?
