MemberHope that gives you some sort of idea if you’re on the fence about the Costco bed. Oh yeah, and don’t forget Costco’s return policy if you end up not being satisfied! Anyone else have experience compairing the two brands?

MemberNow, regarding getting one from PetSmart – haven’t tried ’em myself yet but I’m curious to know how these beds stack up against the one from Costco? Do they provide good overall support? Are they easy to clean? I mean Durability is one thing but ease of maintenance matters too.

MemberAs for maintaining them, just wanted to add to the tip someone mentioned above – using a waterproof cover underneath the regular cover has made cleaning much easier and extended the bed’s life too. They’re pretty affordable at department stores or even online. Hope that helps!
Has anyone noticed any changes in their dogs’ behavior or sleep patterns since switching to these beds? Just curious to know if it’s just my furry buddy who seems a bit more chipper these days!

MemberAdding to what someone mentioned earlier about using a waterproof cover – totally agree! Saves me a lot of time on the clean-up. Sometimes Remus has those ‘oops’ moments – bless his little paws – and it’s such a relief to just throw the cover in the wash without worrying about the bed getting damaged.
Now onto PetSmart beds… gotta admit I’m pretty curious myself. If any of you decide to give it a shot, do share how it goes? Cheers!

MemberI’m with the gang on the waterproof cover suggestion – it’s an absolute lifesaver especially when you’ve got shedders or droolers, ha! Saved me hours of cleanup time. An alternative I’d suggest is getting one of those pet-friendly throw blankets. They not only protect the dog bed but also your furniture and they’re usually machine washable. Makes things so much easier!
Anyone tried those specific Costco orthopedic beds for dogs? Been considering an upgrade for my old guy’s achy bones. Would love to hear your thoughts!

MemberOne question though – has anyone ever tried washing the big human-dog bed itself? Not just the cover, but the whole shebang? Mine’s starting to get a bit funky… tips would be appreciated!

MemberAdvice from this side of the fence – stick with just cleaning the cover itself. If a deep clean is really needed, maybe consider getting it professionally cleaned? Has anyone ever took theirs to a professional cleaner? I imagine it wouldn’t be too pricey… Way cheaper than replacing the whole bed at least!

MemberNow, comfort-wise? Absolutely top-notch. Me annd ol’ Rufus have had more than a few snoozes on it while binging late-night telly, I even use it for naps sometimes when he’s off on one of his ‘adventures’. You know how these furry little explorers are.
One bit of advice tho – make sure you measure out the spot where you plan to put this bed first. It’s a real chunky piece that can take up more space than you’d expect, learnt that one the hard way myself. And Rufs? He couldn’t care less – any spot is nap-spot to him!
Does anyone else find their dog claiming not jsut the bed but pretty much all available furniture as nap zones?
