MemberAnd oh! Cleaning has been surprisingly hassle-free as well which is another win! jsut remove the cover whenever its due for a wash and put back on…no fuss!
Agree with @dogmom231 who mentioned how her little furball fell asleep in no time curling up on this bed. Same happened with Rocky too!! Cheers to comfy naptime though 🍻
But there’s one thing I didn’t quite agree with from some previous posts – the notion that only larger dogs might enjoy this bed. I’ve seen some smaller breeds look really cozy in thier Yeti beds too, so don’t let that deter you small breed owners out there!
Just remember – what works for one pup may not work for another. Explore what your furry friend likes best & provide accordingly!

MemberI’ve had my Yeti Dog Bed for around a year now and honestly, my golden retriever seems pretty happy with it. He’s a big boy and the extra-large size fits him well (he’s about 85lbs). The material definitely stands up against his digging-before-laying-down habbit. Super easy to clean too, just remove the cover and toss it in the wash…which is an absolute lifesaver!
But let me tell ya, I had somewhat ‘sticker shock’ when I first saw the price. Is it worth the hype? Well, it depends on your budget and how much you want to spoil your fur baby. If you’re looking for something more affordable I’d suggest checking out beds from TuffMutts – they’re pretty solid too.
Just checking – has anyone used these for outdoor dogs? How do they hold up in less protected environments?

MemberJust wanted to throw in my two cents on the Yeti dog bed. I’ve had mine for over a year now and my labradoodle, Max, loves it! It’s super durable, easy to clean and definitely have stood up to Max’s endless digging attempts. I know it’s a little pricier, but if you consider how often cheaper beds get destroyed (been there done that), I think it pays for itself in the long run.
One small tip though: If you get one, be sure to introduce it properly. When we first got Max’s Yeti bed he didnt want to go near it (maybe beacuse of its new smell 🤷♂️). So we spent a week playing on it together and leaving some of his favorite treats till he asociated the bed with good times.
Has anyone else experienced this initial resistance?
Cheers!

MemberI do have to agree tho, like some of you’ve said – the price is hefty. But, seeing how comfy Muffin gets in it kinda makes me think it’s worth the splurge? Plus, the bed has held up pretty well in spite of her… enthusiastic? chewing tendencies. The only thing I’d watch out for though is their size chart. Got a medium first and …let’s just say Muffin wasn’t thrilled with the snug fit.
Garnered from this experience, anyone else on here tried other premium dog beds they’d recommend that don’t cost an arm and a leg?

MemberEver consider a homemade option though? Made a few myself from old blankets annd pillows—cheap and comfy as ever! And if your doggo loves chewing as much as mine, who cares if they tear these ones up! 😄
And to those of you considering the purchase, think about this: how many beds will your pup eat through in the time the Yeti might last? Worth tallying up those bucks before dropping the big ones on this beast of a bed!
Anybody else try their hand at homemade solutions? Or found any other brands that withstand the test of time (and teeth)?

MemberWhile we’re on alternatives, has anyone tried a cooling mat? My bulldog Charlie cannot get enough of it during our hot summer months. It’s cheaper than Yeti and no threads to worry about! To each their own, just tossing an idea out there for anyone on the fence about shelling out for the Yeti bed.

MemberI was skeptical about the Yeti bed at first because of the price but let me tell ya, it’s been worth every penny so far! Max adores it and hasn’t managed to tear it apart…yet. It’s super durable and seems to keep him cool enough(despite no built-in cooling mat). For those considering alternatives – especially if you’ve got a destroyer like my Max – I’d definitely recommend giving the Yeti bed a go. Has anyone else with large dogs tried it? What has been your experience?

MemberJust got the yeti bed for my active border collie, Mack, a couple of months ago and I’ve gotta say, this thing has held up like nothing else we’ve tried before. It’s sturdy as heck and he hasn’t managed to tare any corner yet, which is an achievement itself (ha!). As for cooling mats, Charlie isn’t alone – during summer months Mack practically lives on his. The price of the Yeti was a bit steeper than I usually go for but it seems like it’ll last forever. Do you guys find the Yeti bedding easy to clean? I haven’t had to give ours a serious scrub down yet – fingers crossed!

MemberWell, I gotta say I was in the same boat, thinking the Yeti bed was just another overpriced piece of fluff. But boy, wasn’t I wrong! With my 8-year experience with pups, I can confidently say it’s one of the top dog beds out there. Sammie, my golden retriever, loves that it stays nice and cool (despite her best efforts to heat it up with her constant nap schedules).
As for cooling mats, we tried that route for our bulldog Buster (ripples of wrinkly skin aren’t the most breathable feature ya know), but he didn’t take to them too well. mabye he just liked the cushy comfort of a bed more than a mat.
So yeah, if you’ve got some dough to spare, the Yeti dog bed is one investment I’d vouch for. If not, maybe try looking for other bed designs with breathable materials—they work wonders too. Just goes to show, not everything expensive is overhyped, eh? Anyway, anyone got good recos for fun dog toys? Sammie found hers and Buster’s stash and it’s destruction city over here…ugh dogs!

MemberThe material is surpringly tough and can take a good deal of clawing, gnawing and whatnot without fraying or tearing. Plus Biscuit seems to love how cozy it is. So yeah, it may be a bit pricier than what you’re used to spending on dog beds but with the amount of money I’ve saved not having to replace chewed up ones every month or so, it’s definitely been worth it for us!
