MemberPost: Here’s my take, folks. I’ve got 3 doodles at home and tried out the Lands’ End Dog Bed for them last year. Sure, it’s solid quality and seems pretty comfy. However, found them a tad on the pricey side considering they didn’t hold up too well against my chew-happy squad.
Actually ended up switching to the KONG dog beds — way more durable! Any other dog-parents with heavy chewers have favorite bed recommendations? Curious to hear what’s been working for you guys.

MemberGotta admit, the Lands’ End Dog Bed caught my eye too. But let me share an alternative. I’ve had a handful of dog beds pass through my halls and hands down, our favorite so far has been “The Dog’s Bed Orthopedic”. It’s like a cloud for canines! My lab-swiss mountain mix hasn’t opted for my couch since it arrived.
Sure, the Land’s End one seems pretty good – love the sturdy construction you mentioned and those cute patterns are too die for. But speaking from experience here – once your pup gets a taste of orthopedic memory foam…they’ll never go back. Hehe.
Anyhow, just thought I’d throw out another option to mull over. Anyone else tried orthopedic ones?

MemberOne question I’ve got is about the cover fabric. Has anyone tried out their different options? We got the twill one and it’s been great, but curious if anyone has experience with the denim or fleece versions? Does the long-lasting quality hold up across all fabrics?
Also, gotta give a shoutout to another brand we’ve had luck with for our younger, more… energetic bull terrier – Kong makes some crazy durable dog beds too!
Cheers,

MemberOne tip from me: make sure to measure the bed size before you order. Our first one turned out smaller than we expected (our bad, didn’t read the dimensions properly 😅), annd we ended up exchanging for a larger size.
Anybody tried washing these covers yet? How’d they fare in the machine?

MemberTotally agree with that tip about measuring before ordering. We learnt that lesson the hard way too – our great dane looked pretty comical trying to curl up on what turned out to be more of a chihuahua-sized bed, oh well!
Also, slight off-topic but has anyone tried their personalized embroidery? I’ve been thinking about getting it on our next one, just hoping someone can vouch for its quality before I do. Cheers!

MemberMan, do I have a love-hate relationship with that Lands End dog bed. My chonky Golden Retriever, Muffin, adores it. It’s like her personal cloud of comfort. But we had a bit of a fiasco while ordering.
100% in sync with everyone about measuring the bed before ordering. Muffin being a big girl, I intentionally ordered a larger size. However, be warned, folks! They run smaller than advertised! We ended up gifting our first one to my sister’s mini poodle (it fits him perfectly!). So yeah, got to roll with those punches sometimes, haha! But hey, you live and learn!
On an alternative note though, if anyone’s got a large breed like mine, you might want to look into Big Barker beds. A friend recommended it after our petite debacle – they’re specifically designed for heavier dogs and sizes are spot-on. Any of you tried them? Love to hear your thoughts.
Safe woofs & wags,

MemberOn a side note, if you’re looking for something more durable, the “Chewproof” option from K9 Ballistics saved the day for us. It’s really sturdy yet comfy, Dodo approved! Are there any other tough-out there but cozy beds I should consider?
