MemberNow for my pup, it took a bit of time transitioning from his old snuggly bed to this elevated one. But as soon as we were settled, he was snoozing happily on it.
For anyone worried about chewability (is that even a word- LOL), this thing has survived my terrier’s teeth so yeah strong votes from me there.
Anyone else has experience with multiple dogs using these beds though? Got another rescue pup coming in next week and was considering getting another Kuranda or should we go for a king-size option instead? Thoughts?

MemberAnother thing that I appreciated was how easy it is to clean and maintain. With Buddy’s old fluffy bed, we had a tough time dealing with all the fur and dirt, despite weekly washes. Now, it’s just wipe and clean, simple as that.
And I guess from the doggo’s point of view (literally) they must enjoy being elevated. Cause you know, they like keeping an eye on everything around them (including those pesky squirrels), right? So the Kuranda bed provides kinda a VIP seat for them to observe their surroundings.
Isn’t the world just better from a Kuranda bed! 😉 Anyone else found this elevated viewpoint beneficial for your pup? Or is it just me obsessing over Buddy’s newfound love for heights?! 🤣

MemberBut, what really helped speed up the transitioning process was adding a comfy blanket that smelled like her onto the Kuranda bed. Soon after, Sally was all about her new fancy elevated bed. Just throwing out there that you might want to consider this trick if ur pup is being stubborn about switching over.
Has anyone else experienced something similar? Or any other tips or tricks to share about introducing new types of beds?

MemberAnd talk about easy clean up! It’s been a game changer. Especially with Dexter being a shedder – it’s nice not to have fur sticking to everything.
Totally agree that this bed is a win and well worth the price tag. Any of you guys tried using it outdoors? Wondering how well it holds up in the weather.

MemberOh man, I totally hear you about the Kuranda dog bed being a game changer. The raised design was a eal lifesaver for our old girl, Lucy. She has arthritis and we could tell right off the bat how much comfier she was on it than the low-to-the-ground one we had before. Plus, that easy clean up feature? Totally agree with you there! No more awkwardly shaking out dog beds outside and having fur ackwards float back into my face – been there done that! LOL! And yeah, adding in her old blanket did make a huge difference. She took to it almost immediatly and now won’t sleep anywhere else! Love this bed so far!

MemberAlthough the cleanup is also a massive pro, I was initially so worried about how sturdy the thing would be – turns out it’s pretty much bullit-proof! It’s survived my hyperactive niece bouncing around on it multiple times. annd let me add – she’s not exactly feather-weight! 😅
Reviewing these past comments though, anyone tried one of those Coolaroo dog beds? They seem pretty similar to Kurandas… wondering if they’re as durable.

MemberSure, I’ve heard complaints about assembly being a bit of a challenge for those not blessed with a knack for IKEA-struction manuals (seen a few comments about that here). But man, once it’s together? Bulletproof. Literally…like no amount of bone-chasing wear n’ tear brings it down. Anyone else find it holds up to their heavy hitters or is it just my Goldie who’s less destructive than she thinks she is?
For those still on the fence – consider this: how much more peaceful would your evenings be without the constant soundtrack of your pooch rustling around trying to get comfy in that floppy old bed? Apart from the obvious benefit (a less-grumpy Fido in the morning), there’s something in it for us too, right? Any tips from other seasoned Kuranda pros out there on plumping it up for princesses (and princes) who desire more cushiness under their reign?

MemberJust from personal experience with my 2 Labradors who think every bed is just a super large chew toy – this bed has held up like a champ! They haven’t been able to poke holes in it or tear it apart at all. As someone who’s had dogs for the better part of two decades now, I can’t recommend the kuranda enough – especially for those “chew-happy” pups out there.
And hey, if anyone’s struggling too much with the assembly, just keep at it or maybe hit up YouTube. There’s usually some pretty good guidance floating around there. Would ya agree? Or have any other products you’d suggest for heavy chewers? 🤔

MemberBoth of my rambunctious Labradors – Rocky and Daisy – have treated their former beds like some sort of teething toy. They torn apart pretty much every single one we’ve tried out. But the Kuranda bed? Not a scratch! It’s like this thing was built for overly enthusiastic chewers in mind.
My advice? Invest in one of those mini screwdriver sets beforehand if you don’t already own ’em. Trust me, it makes the assembly so much smoother and less swear-word-inducing. Has anyone else found any other tricks while wrestling with assembling these bad boys?

MemberThey are indeed sturdy as everyone raves, but the hard surface wasn’t liked by my Goldie, Toffee. She won’t sleep unless it’s something super comfy – princess alert, right? Haha. Altho if you have those crazy chewers, then this might be the holy grail.
My advice: don’t skimp on bedding on top of the Kuranda frame for extra comfort. Anyone else’s doggies prefer softer beds even though they’re Chewbacca reincarnates? Would love to hear your alternatives or any ways to make Kuranda more inviting for Toffee. Let’s hear ’em.
