MemberSo, I got the Reddy dog bed for my Goldie about two months back. And trust me when I say this, she’s never looked happier sleeping. The memory foam they use in these beds is simply rad. It seems to realy cradle her and give that support her old bones appreciate.
Now here’s the advice part, if your beloved pooch is like mine, kinda older and facing some hip dikscomfort (yup, went through that ordeal as well), definitely consider getting a Reddy bed. They provide great comfort and are definitely worth every penny.
But do remember, make sure to measure your pet correctly before buying because size does matter here. Anyone else using Reddy beds? How’s your experience been?
Stay pawsome guys!

MemberMy only question would be, how often do you guys wash yours? I’m probably over-worrying as a newbie but wouldn’t mind a pointer here. Cheers!

MemberAlternative-wise, if you start finding that even compulsive cleaning doesn’t keep the funky dog smell away, consider getting a waterproof liner to put under the cover. That really helped me out with my previous doggo who loved playing water tag with sprinklers in summer.
Oh and one more thing – don’t fret over being a newbie. You’re doing amazing for your fur-baby! 🐶💕

MemberAs for over-worrying, trust me, been there done that! Just remember you’re doing great as long as your pooch is happy and comfortable. Also, for the funky smell, try sprinkling some baking soda on the bed before vacuuming it, really helps neutralize odors. Hope this helps! Oh and does anyone else’s Reddy bed stuffing get all clumpy after washing? Could use some advise here.

MemberWith the Reddy bed though, I’ve noticed her fur doesn’t cling to it as much as with previous beds. Cleaning has become so much easier, as well. And about over-worrying…trust me, as long as you’re taking care of your fur baby and they seem comfortable, you’re doing just fine. By the look on my pooch’s face every time she sprawls out on her Reddy bed, I’d say she pretty pleased too!
Just to add a bit more—I’ve found that rotating other covers on top of the Reddy bed can make cleaning even simpler; it also gives you an opportunity to switch up designs if you’re into that sort of thing. Anyway, hope this helps! It’s all about finding what works best for you and your pup! Anyone else got any good tips or perhaps an alternative bed suggestion?

MemberKeep an eye on your fur kid during that transitional phase, might need some extra snuggles to get used to it. Or maybe not! Seems like every dog’s as unique as their owner, right?
What about toys and chewables? Anyone finds them harder to spot against Reddy’s color scheme? Kinda wish they did a brighter shade or something! Anyone else feeling this way?

MemberOne tip I could share though is check your pup’s size before buying. I initially went for a small size thinking it would suffice but had to return it cause my girl likes her space when lounging or sleeping. And there might have been some squabbles between her and our resident cat over that cozy corner!
On another note, did anyone try the heated version yet? Any opinion on whether it’s worth getting or not as colder months approach?

MemberI ended up trying a Furhaven pet bed as an alternative and honestly, Maxie can’t get enough of it. It’s super plushy and seems to give her more space than the Reddy did anyway. mabye worth a consideration if your pooch is sizing out like mine did! Good luck in the dog bed hunt – it’s a ruff world out there, am I right?🐾

MemberHas anyone else found the covers to be quite hard to clean? Don’t ask how, but Bruno managed to get peanut butter all over his. Guess that’s one advantage the Furhaven has over Reddy – easier cleaning routine. Any tips?

MemberAnd yeah, gotta agree on the Furhaven alternative too – I used one for my old lab Molly and she adored it till her last days. Super cushy and ultra durable as compared to many others in the market. The puppers seem to love ’em! 🐕🛏️✨

MemberIf Y’all are looking for something equally comfy but easy-peasy to clean, look up PupRug Faux Fur Orthopedic Dog Bed. My neighbor swears by it for her Husky lab mix, says she jsut tosses the cover in the wash as often as she needs to and it comes out fresh and plushy.
Anyone else had any experience with this brand? I’m considering switching if its as good as Shelly says it is!
